We booked this room on a referral from a family member who lives in Surrey, and
we were not disappointed. The room was quant, clean and had a spectacular view.
The suite had a full kitchenette with everything you need. The two male front
desk staff attendants were very helpful and pleasant, however we had some
trouble communicating with the other staff. We put our son down for a nap, and
as I walked in from getting something out of our car, I saw the room attendant
in the next room. She asked if we were in need of service, and I said no, our
son is napping. I asked her if she could come back in two hours. In addition, we
had the do not disturb sign on the door. About 10 minutes later, she did a half
knock, and opened the door and began to walk in. I hurried her out the door as
quietly as possible, but was shocked that she could not follow simple
directions. The other thing to consider is that you are very close to the Amtrak
line, and will hear the train go by on a regular basis. I had no issue with
this, but want to point it out. Overall, this is a very nice little hotel, the
room was very comfortable, nice bed, nice amenities, (could have more
comfortable pillows), and in a great location. Well worth the rate we paid.

Upgraded to jacuzzi suite as a surprise for my wife, and we loved it. Spacious
and comfortable!
Only two things kept it from five stars:
-Train is really close. It wasn't wake you up typ of loud for me but could be a
problem for light sleepers.
-Shower needs an update. Odd design and the shower head should be larger.

I won a two night stay in the ocean front one bedroom suite. It was a beautiful
room. The jacuzzi bath tub was heaven. There is a fireplace in the bedroom and
living room. Full kitchen but no oven. view is amazing and walking distance to
all kinds of restaurants. Very comfortable bed and linens. Very clean.
Only down side was that there is a bar that has noisy patrons right next door
and a train that runs by every half an hour but that is not the hotel's fault.
And the shampoo and soap are very cheap and poor quality for such a nice hotel.
But fully recommend this hotel.

I spent my two very special nights here at the end of July and it was fabulous!
The first night my bridesmaids and I had plenty of room to socialize in. The
view was spectacular! The balcony roomy and comfortable. On my wedding day I had
plenty of room for myself and the girls to get ready in. Then when my new
husband and I returned after the wedding we indulged in the romance package
which was presented beautifully. The chocolates tasted so good we brought them
with us to Mexico to enjoy. The Jacuzzi tub with rose petals was wonderful! I
would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the White Rock area.
The service was good and the staff very accommodating.

-right on the waterfront
-heated floors in bathroom
-free upgrade to king bedroom with kitchenette & view because regular rooms
overbooked
-super comfy bed (big points for this one!)
-reasonably priced
disliked:
-hotel cafe closed on holidays
-curt front desk staff
-location: distance from the main pier (ie boathouse restaurant area)=$6 cab
ride each way
-small, tight underground parking
-no pool/convenience shop |
