Hotel Review of the Pacific Inn Hotel White Rock

It was what I expected after reading reviews, OK but needs sprucing up. Stayed 3
nights Fri-Mon. Needs maintenance but front desk, restaurant and housekeeping
staff were friendly and helpful. Pool is nice but no lounge chairs, water is
warm. Hot tub spa water temperature is very hot. Large gym. The Pool and Gym are
shared with local paying members, but it wasn't overcrowded at all. Was offered
room on 3rd floor at check-in and I asked "what kind of room are we in and what
events are going on this weekend?" The front-desk clerk changed our room
location to a quiet wing with access to the patio on the ground floor. Beds were
good. I had a car rental and found location was convenient for visiting White
Rock Beach (drive, not walk), family in Surrey and friends in Crescent Beach.
Pets are allowed in the hotel but unfortunately I found feces (hope it was
animal) on the carpet in the corridor on the first morning of our stay. I was in
shock, I've never experienced this before. The hotel staff picked it up after I
told them, but it didn't look like the carpet got cleaned. Big turn off, but I
don't regret my decision to stay here this time. Choices are limited in this
area. Not sure if I would return though. Fresh paint and attention to
cleanliness would make this place great, but for me it was just OK.
Room Tip: Ask for room away from pool, parties and elevator.

Stayed at the Pacific Inn while attending my 30th School Reunion. My room was
fabulous - very clean, nicely decorated and nicely arranged. Our event was
wonderful and the service and food was good. Everyone at the hotel was friendly
and very willing to help.

I have stayed here before and found the staff to be very helpful. Once a year
our group of 56 travel to Vegas and as the bus stops here some of us stay
overnight. The staff that we came in contact with were very accommodating. The
rooms were large and comfortable and quite. Next year when our group heads off
to another trip I and all that stayed this year will return. Thanks for the

After reading all these negative feedbacks, I was hesitate to book this hotel.
But I decided to give it a chance. And it turns out it's a right decision. The
hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful, you can see they make a lot of
effort to update the hotel and being very passionate of what they are doing.
Me and my boyfriend booked for the Jacuzzi room along with the Valentines Dinner
package. The room is big (way bigger then those ones in downtown) and the dinner
was yummy. The hotel set up was a bit outdated and for sure need some makeover
(and there is a undergoing renovation, so it should be great when they are all
done.)
This is a hotel for you if you're looking for good value and a relax getaway as
long as you're not too fussy about the decor.
Overall, I would say this hotel is worth visiting and we enjoyed our stay and
will for sure consider going back. Can't wait when the renovation are all done
and have the restaurant/lounge back in business again!
