If you are looking for a tranquil getaway with a fantastic view and lots
of amenities this is the place to go.
The Ironwood property is very well maintained. The heated pool is open
all year round and the hot tub is an appreciated amenity after a day of
skiing the ample terrain at Whistler/Blackcomb. The central location of
the condo makes for easy access to both the Whistler village and the
Whistler Creekside (free parking at Creekside)

The units are very clean and regularly updated. There is a fully stocked
kitchen including a dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, kettle and
microwave. Each unit also includes a full sized washer and dryer. The
floor plan for the two bedroom unit has a kitchen, dining room and
living room separating the master bedroom from the second bedroom. Each
bedroom is equipped with its own bathroom the master having a 4 piece
and the bedroom having a 3 piece. The balcony off of the master suite
offers a nice spot to relax and watch the sun rise over the mountains
while you overlook the pool. This unit also includes free underground
secured parking, a ski lock off area.
In addition to the mountain-view, below the units is an Arnold Palmer
golf course that is surrounded by multiple kilometers of fitness trails.
Walking to the Whistler village is a scenic 15 minute walk, there are
some hills, but the path is paved and well lit.
Our stay was very enjoyable and relaxing, we have already booked our
return vacation to this location.

We had an INCREDIBLE time in Whistler and stayed at Ironwood. We are a
family of 4 and had plenty of room. The condo was very clean, neat and
had all of the comforts of home. Our unit had an incredible view of the
mountains overlooking the pool. The pool are is great.... however our 6
year old noted "hey mom look at the black bear next to the pool" he was
correct! There was quite a large black bear roaming right next to the 4
foot glass fence that surrounded the pool! It did not bother anyone, but
rather looked around, slid down the snowy hill and walked off. If you
have a large vehicle as we do (Suburban) the underground parking only
extends to 6'11. We had to remove our Thule prior to our trip. They do
have oversize parking stalls but they are first come first serve and
there are only 4-5 stalls and they were always full during our stay.

They do note you can walk to the village, however the complex is at the
top of the hill. Once you walk down the hill, you must take a path-
although well lit--- it is a bit of a walk to the village. We have a 6 &
8 year old and would not make the walk with them. The drive is literally
only minutes to the village and we parked at either the day lot at the
end of Village Gate road/Blackcomb or in the underground parking on
Village Gate road on the right hand side before Blackcomb blvd. Either
parking area is safe, well lit and drops you in the heart of the stroll.
If having cocktails, there were plenty of taxi's dropping off/picking up
from our complex heading to the village as well.

We had a timeshare exchange for a 2-bedroom unit for my family of 4. The
suite was very spacious. Our room was 213, east-facing, on the pool side
(with beautiful picture windows with view of Blackcomb mountain). Since
we are here in the summer, I was expecting hot weather. With no air
conditioning, the unit got very hot in late morning, but cooled down in
the afternoon. I would say it got to 30 degrees Celsius when outside was
low 20's. If you go in the summer, request the east-facing as this would
still be cooler than the west-facing side with the hot afternoon sun.
The suite had full open kitchen which was useful. Spacious dining area.
The best part was the outdoor swimming pool. It's not fancy, but water
was quite warm. It gave us relief from our hot room and the water was
warm enough for us to stay for a long time. There is an outdoor hot tub,
but the jets were not working well (no air). In general, the building is
older but it has had some updates: nice track lighting in kitchen and
dining room, newer furniture. Carpets need to be replaced and bathroom
fixtures could be updated. Location was good. It's quiet and 15 -20 min
walk to village on Valley Trail if you want to shop or go to the
restaurants. If you ride your bike, it could be 5-10 min. Be aware that
Ironwood is on the top of the hill. We rode our bikes to the village and
to Lakeside park. We had trouble coming back due to the hill. Not
bike-riding friendly for younger kids. We ended up driving to Meadow
Park and riding around the flat trails there.
