Third year here and coming back again! Hotel is wonderful. Location, staff,
housekeeping. Everyone is so friendly & accomodating. Ryan helped with all
reservations for dinner beforehand and anything we needed when we were there was
taken care of by Jason. They are cheerful and so helpful! Our room is lovely as
always and very clean. The only criticism is that there is no "on demand"
movies. Other than that, we love it here and my 11 and 14 year old boys say it's
the only place they want to ski. They love the hot tub also. We recommend this
place highly and have told all of our friends to come here!

We travelled from Australia (Family of four including a 17 and 16 year old
teenagers) for our first white Christmas and was not disappointed. The Front
desk service is always friendly and efficient, with Jason and Liz in particular
outstanding. We chose the 2 bedroom village view room so that we would not have
to much noise from the local nightlife which proved to be a great idea as we had
excellent views of the mountains behind whistler village and parts of Blackcomb
mountain as well. Sound proofing was well done as we did not hear noises from
other rooms. The two bedrooms were very spacious and both had windows with
views. The master bedroom had a King sized bed and plenty of closet space. A
second bedroom had a Queen sized bed and sufficient closet space as well. The
kitchen had everything and was well set out for easy use. The living room had a
sofa bed, and overlooked the village/mountain area and housekeeping was always
efficient and accommodating if you wanted the room cleaned later.

The room was well equipped with 2 flat screen TV's which was great. The hot
tub on the roof was an excellent extra that we enjoyed every night after a long
day skiing. We had no issues with noise from the village and found it fairly
quiet at night. Location of the hotel is central to everything. The Sundial is
steps away from the lifts which made it ideal for walking in ski boots and
everything is close by - ski rentals, pubs, restaurants and shopping. We went
during the peak holiday period and although it was expensive we chose this time
for personal reasons and I have no hesitation in recommending this
hotel.....congratulations Sundial

GREAT location! Nice spacious, clean, and luxurious rooms. The staff are
friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and it was only a stone’s throw away
from the gondola. Normally I have issues finding rooms that are actually
accessible for a person in a wheelchair at ski resorts but, they had everything
that I could ever need and more. Thoroughly impressed. LOVED the Sundial.

Stayed in a two bedroom Mountain view room at the Sundial Boutique Hotel in
Whistler in December for a weekend trip. The hotel has underground parking
available for $20 a night, though you will only be able to access the secure lot
with a key card, so make sure you check in first. Front desk service is friendly
and efficient, and they do have a trolley for those with a large amount of
luggage.

The mountain view room was well worth the extra dollars, as the sunrise is
not to be missed. Sound proofing was well done as we did not hear noises from
other rooms. The two bedrooms were very spacious. The master bedroom had a King
sized bed, jacuzzi tub and plenty of closet space. A second bedroom had a Queen
sized bed and sufficient closet space as well.
The kitchen had everything and was well equipped. Complimentary coffee and tea
were included. The living room had a sofa bed, and overlooked the
village/mountain area. We had no issues with noise from the village and found it
fairly quiet at night.
Location of the hotel is central to everything. The Sundial is steps away from
the lifts and everything is just a block or so away - ski rentals, pubs,
restaurants and shopping.
For the price of a little over $200 a night, this was value for money.

First I will start saying this was a family getaway with two parents and two
children ages 6 and 8. We brought along Oma too. When we arrived we were very
pleased with the location. It is right at the bottom of the ski hill. We had a
mountain view room. The things we were not pleased with were:
There are quite a few pubs/bars right outside the window so being a weekend it
was LOUD. None of us slept the first night except Oma cuz her bedroom was to the
interior of the hotel. Our master bedroom and the living room with pull out
couch had windows and were on the side of the building close to the bars. Around
3am things finally quieted down only for the noise of the loaders to keep us
awake! The kept doing up and down right outside our place. On top of it the unit
below us had a hot tub so we had alot of noise from the party guys whom stayed
there and like to smoke weed.
The beds were average and the pillows were terrible. They were long but way too
puffy. The pull out couch made you feel like you were falling down towards where
your head was.
The finishing's were average. It was nice to have a kitchen area.
If you go and get a cheap deal it may be worth it but I would never pay full
price. I would only recommend it if you are into partying all night with
everyone else or get it for a ridiculously cheap price.

I was very impressed with this hotel. Was pleasantly surprised by the size of
the room and the great kitchen. The living room area was comfortable and It felt
like I was at my home away from home...and that's something that's hard to
achieve when renting a hotel room. I loved the view of the mountain and enjoyed
watching the people on the street. The beds were so comfortable and the walk
through bathroom was big and beautiful. The rooftop hot tub was a hit with the
kids, who loved the personal house coats that were in the closet all white and
crisp. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer...
p.s. we got a great deal through redtag.ca that allowed us to stay at 25% off
the regular cost which was a great deal!
Room Tip: The corner suite which my friend and her family stayed was
amazing...it had windows all around and a balcony. This was room 503. My room
was 501, I think it may have been a little bigger than hers so it really depends
on what you want.

Room was very nice. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very nice kitchen, making good
use of space. Front desk staff were friendly. One complaint I have is my room
location faced the town centre, and as some others have commented, it can be
noisy at night, as both nights I heard party goers yelling at 2 am. Overall it
was good value and a comfortable retreat. |
