The friendly staff at Mountainside were so helpful about my early arrival and
stored my bags while I enjoyed skiing in the sunshine. They kindly called me on
the mountain to say my room was ready. The close location to the lifts made it
so easy to walk back in my dreaded ski boots with my skis at the end of the day.
The one bedroom with hot tub was very clean and comfortable. I slept very well
in the comfy bed. The guest Laundromat next door was an added bonus.
On my departure day, the staff also made it easy for me to check-out and ski and
store my luggage as well. The Front Desk team could not have been more helpful
when I broke my glasses.

Room Tip: Umberto's restaurant next door is a highlight for a big night out.
If you want local fun and to watch a Canucks Game try Citta's in the middle of
the Village. The nachos is epic.

We booked the Loft (apartment) for four ppl and it was just perfect. Big, clean,
perfectly equipped kitchen, gas fireplace and an amazing hot tub and pool
outside. Plus it's super close to the Gondolas. All that for a very reasonable
price. Would book again.

We were in Vancouver over Christmas holiday, and decided to make a short trip to
Whistler for some good skiing. We stumbled upon this great lodge hotel, located
right in the heart of Whistler Village! Amazing location! You can literally walk
outside of the hotel, cross the street, and suddenly there is Blackcomb and
Whistler gondola's, along with the lift ticket purchase area. I would consider
that the next closest thing to a Ski In Ski Out option, since we were THAT close
to the ski lifts.

We originally reserved a Studio Suite, but upon checking into the hotel, we were
offered the option to upgrade to a loft suite for $20, so we figured, why not,
let's check it out! Our loft suite was awesome - 1 full bathroom downstairs, a
kitchenette, dining area, and family room with fireplace. Upstairs was another
full bathroom, queen bedroom, and a personal sauna!
TV's were a little outdated, and not many channel choices, but it's also not the
end of the world. Upstairs TV was 13", tiny, and hidden in a closet.
While we never took advantage of all the amenities offered, I appreciate that we
had the option to use them. The stay was great, front desk was very friendly
too!
One kicker - Parking - there is underground parking for $18 a day; but it's
worth it. There isn't any other place to park the car.
Restaurants - we tried The Keg for dinner one evening, great food, not the
cheapest, but it's worth it. If you like seafood, definitely go for the Alaskan
King Crab option. Service was great too!

for a base of only 130 cm it was quite well covered.

Last February we stayed in a Loft Suite for a week ski vacation. This was my
third trip to Whistler, and Mountainside Lodge was the best place we've stayed.
Loved having 2 bathrooms - made it very reasonable to have 4 people share the
suite. The trundle bed in the kitchen was the source of much giggling, but
apparently it was quite comfortable. The location is excellent, and we found the
front desk staff helpful and courteous. We really enjoyed the hot tub, and the
heated pool was a great attraction for kids (also great for keeping them out of
the hot tub). Definitely recommend!

We had booked 2 Studios and a Loft Suite for 8 family members for 4 nights. The
studios were roomy enough for 2 people and they were fully equipped kitchens. A
really nice touch was the bath robes in the room. The Murphy Beds were
comfortable but the one minor complaint we found was that it was hard to get out
of the bed as the sides from the couch stayed up and you had to scoot about
halfway down the bed to get out. The Loft rooms were roomy and my nephews liked
that they had their own area at night to watch TV or go on their computer. The
hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice pool and
hot tub area.
PROS: Location, Location, Location
Bike Lockers
Kitchen and rooms
Nice Extras (Robes in Rooms and Umbrellas at Front Desk)
Free WiFi
CONS: Need double glazed windows as it can get noisy at night

My husband and I stayed at the Mountainside Lodge last weekend. We had a one
bedroom suite which was perfect for us. There were 2 bathrooms so we each had
our own space. The kitchen had a nice dining table, full fridge, stove and
dishwasher so if you wanted to, you could eat meals in. The decor was very warm
and modern and it was also spotlessly clean. The pool area is lovely, with
Umberto's restaurant right off the deck area. We could walk everywhere we needed
to go and were very close to the Peak 2 Peak gondola which is a must do if you
go to Whistler.
We had a ground floor room facing into the circular driveway area. It was a
little noisy at night with late night partier-types hooping and hollering and in
the morning you could hear the delivery and garbage trucks pulling in so you may
wish to get a room on the opposite side and possibly higher up.

We were blown away by the service we got from Lynne at this hotel. First of all
we arrived at Whistler Village hot and with nothing booked & went to the busy
info centre where we made our reservation by phone. When we arrived at the hotel
we were immediately upgraded from the studio room we had reserved to a loft room
with two bathrooms and a sauna - bliss! We were wandering down from the lobby to
look for a restaurant when we bumped into Lynne the receptionist who was on her
break. She told us about the free concert in the Village and how to get there.
We felt very spoilt and relaxed when we left this hotel. |
