We've stayed here two different years for skiing over the New Year's
season.
It's a very nice hotel, situated very close to the slopes. The ski shop
is very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They are very accommodating
to your needs.
One of the best activities ever is to have them arrange snowmobiling-
absolutely beautiful.

The location was great and most of the staff that I had run in's with
were wonderful, one of the concierges was a bit snappy but maybe she was
having a bad day.
Location is awesome. Rooms are just ok and walls are thin, but I didn't
feel it was up for the price. Again location was awesome and that is a
reason to stay.

Firstly, Great location and great service! We arrived early 10am, our
room was ready, we checked out late 1pm, no cost and no problems. The
guy's and gal's on the desk were fantastic and wonderfully helpful with
everything. Room was really nice and cosy.... go for the fire option, it
makes for a fantastic experience after a hard day on the slopes. We also
used both the Gym and the pool and we both said the facility's were
really good! We also spent (to much) time in the bar CBBG.... Great
place, doesn't feel like a hotel bar and the service and prices are
great!
What else.... If your skiing then there's a great hire shop through the
walkway next to the hotel and check out Jon Fathom's carvings, we had to
invest! The hotel is also ideal for the move mountain lifts.. both
outside the back doors, also a great base for eating and drinking in
Whistler Village...... oh and if you like Sushi then you've got to try
out Sushi Village (Opposite the hotel in the square)..... Great trip,
made better by the experience we had a the Hilton.

Stayed here as part of a conference. Nice hotel but you can find better
for less money. The room was big and had a fireplace. But the fireplace
only allowed use of the fuel logs and that made the room smell like a
smoking room. Very strong smell as soon as we walked in and almost had
us checking out. Location is ok but requires you to walk a little ways
to get to main village walking streets and slope. The lounged was empty
and couldn't get volume working for TV so watched football game with no
sound. Over all it was just ok. Crystal Lodge still my favorite.

We drove up to whistler from Vancouver and it was snowing hard. We were
greeted well and were checked into our glacier suite within mintues. Oh
one thing: parking is a ripoff..30$ for a day (bummer).. But this is the
only option that you have. The hilton offers an awesome pool, hot tub
and whirlpool. I spent an awesome time with my family swimming in the
hot water surrounded by snow. Since it's a 5 star hotel, the guests are
decent and not the rowdy youngsters that you find in whistler and this
made kus comfortable. The room was about 850 sqft and had a full kitchen
with 2 queen beds. We cooked, played, sang, had a jolly time in the snow
and came back to the lovely fire place in the room. We love you Hilton.
Waiting to come back to this property..muAh

THE GOOD
- Good breakfast options
- Great location very close to the lifts
- Nice rooms (ours had a steam room--very nice)
- Awesome staff
THE NOT-SO-GOOD
- The men's locker room needs locks or hardware to allow users to use
their own locks. I took the chance of leaving my swim suit, sandals, and
the hotel robe in a locker. When I returned from my 50-minute workout,
they were gone.
- The WiFi in our room was very aggravating. The avg of three download
speed tests was 1.5 MB/sec. While you may think that's adequate for an
iTunes movie download, that is wrong. Every 4-10 minutes, the connection
would drop, over all three days we've been here to date. Both Internet
users in our room had the same problem. I was not able to load more than
1/2 a standard definition TV episode from iTunes because of the
perpetual network problems over the entire three days.
- The shower will occasionally scald and/or freeze you.

Stayed for 3 nights on what turned out to be opening weekend for the
slopes, so the town was hopping. Stayed using my Hilton Honors points,
and was upgraded to a one bedroom condo with a massive living room' a
dining room and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances (Sub-Zero
fridge!). Oh, and a second bathroom with a sauna...niiice!
Some minor issues (dishwasher not working, bathroom faucet dripping,
some minor issues with Internet connectivity), and for the issues I
chose to report, all were handled with efficiency and courtesy.
The only thing I would warn folks about is the outdoor hot tub -- from
our room we saw not one, but TWO couples having sex in the hot tub, at
different times, mind you, but on the same night...ewwwww!

I loved this Hilton resort and Whistler too! We stayed for three days in
early August in a two-bedroom suite. We were doing a 10 day road trip
across BC and Alberta and this was one of our stops. It was also our
first time out West.
The suite was spacious and just the right size for three people.
Everything was clean and all the appliances worked great. Check in/check
out was a breeze and the staff was extremely helpful with our luggage.
We didn't hear any outside noise at night and the beds were so comfy
that you couldn't not have a great night's sleep.
Loved the location of the hotel. It was right in the village by whistler
mountain, but none of the rooms actually faced the main village walkway
so you didn't hear any of the hustle and bustle of "downtown".
I had an awesome stay at the Hilton Whistler and can't wait to go back!
Whistler is an amazing place and I can only imagine how great it is in
the winter. |
