My girlfriend and I we stayed at the Delta Suites in Whistler in November. Since
this isnt a super busy time (because the mountains weren't open yet) the village
was pretty quiet and we got an amazing deal. We had a huge suite with a king bed
and a pullout and a full kitchen for next to nothing, it was clean and spacious
and great The only problem was that when we were there they were renovating the
pool and health area so we had to go across the street if we wanted to do that.
The renovations are complete now and i`m sure it looks great so thats another
reason why I recommend this hotel. Its in a great location, right in the middle
of the village. The staff was excellent and so was the service. Overall i would
definitely recommend this hotel especially if you want to check out whistler not
during the high season of winter when its packed but you can get an amazing deal
if you go when the mountains arent open and you have an amazing place to go
around and check out beautiful Whistler.

Delta Whistler Village Suites is the hotel I stay at every time I make my twice
yearly trip to Whistler (summer and winter). I've stayed at other hotels within
the Village and Blackcomb and none compares with the location, comfort,
amenities and friendly staff. Within the hotel, you have a world class full
service spa, two restaurants. Outside the hotel, within a five minute walk, you
will fine a huge grocery store, multiple restaurants of every ethnicity you
could imagine, nightlife, lattes, seasonal stores (ski, golf, swim, bike, etc),
a library, cultural center, buses, free shuttle to the mountains, movie theater,
excellent shopping, etc. A ten minute walk will take you to the base of Whistler
for skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and serious snow sledding. Fifteen
minute walk will take you to Blackcomb which offers its own array of
entertainment. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and ready to make your stay
at Whistler the best. And best of all, you can drive straight up to the door!
Most of the other facilities at Whistler left me wandering around the village
wondering where the entrance is located let alone how to find the parking--a
real problem! I recommend DWVS to anyone coming to Whistler!!!

I've stayed in hotels all over the world and consider myself quite picky (see my
review of the dreadful place we stayed in at Courchevel last year...) and I
thought the Delta Whistler was great. The room was spacious (we paid for a 1
bedroom suite) and kept spotlessly clean , the staff were excellent, the pool
and fitness room were adequate (certainly lot better than other similar hotels).
The restaurant didn't open until towards the end of our stay so we can't rate it
but then we went early in the season (11th December). The location was good, at
one end of the village; we didn't use the shuttle bus but instead rented ski and
boot storage close to the gondola so just had a short stroll through the village
in the morning (less than 10 minutes). Our only bad experience was noise; 200
American students were also in the hotel during our first week; they were less
than considerate when coming back from partying on 2 nights but after we
complained they were warned and we had no further problems; also with the snow
clearing equipment in the village square in the morning but if like us you're
relatively early risers it shouldn't be a problem.

Stayed in the off season, so the rooms were cheaper. Standard boxy rooms for the
cheaper ones. Nice facilities. Close to the nightlife. A place to go back to
sleep when you are finished with the out door activities. The spa and sauna was
a delightful treat, compared to other hotels at the same prices, which where
complete dives, in other parts of BC.

Front desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, they upgraded our room in
no time and made checking in and out very quick and easy, that would be the most
positive experience we had. Room cleanliness is terrible, as we laid in bed
first night we noticed some "stuff" on the headboard. We cleaned it ourselves
and tried not to think about it. There is so much dust on top of the curtain
boards that over flows on the sides and you can see it from anywhere in the
room. As well under the night tables it looks as though it has not been vacuumed
in weeks. My son had to sleep on the couch bed and the sheets had holes in them
and looked overly used. Coffee maker had water already in it which I did not
notice, so first morning when I tried to put water for coffee it over flowed
everywhere. I had to clean everything and replace the water just to find that
the coffee maker does not work. We waited 45 mins. for another coffee maker.
Faucet handle in the shower broke in pieces, luckily for us was the last shower.
Carpet in the corridor on our floor was visibly damaged and discolored in a
couple of places (it makes you feel like you are not staying in a nice place).
If you want to go to the pool or hot tub you have to walk through the common
area on the main floor in your robes and bump into skiers and the patrons of a
local hotel bar. Beside two flat screen tv's everything else in the suite looked
outdated and over used.
Food and service in the newly opened restaurant Elephant and Castle was good and
we really enjoyed it. My wife used the spa and she really liked it.

This hotel is beautiful and in a great location, but..... The workers are
clueless, the elevator did not work, the spa was closed without notice and they
make you pay for everything. Do NOT touch anything without asking the front desk
if there is a charge for it, For example, $24 to park, $13 for internet, $1.50
per local call, $2 for laundry soap even if your room has a washer, they charge
for everything.! Also, no food or pub in the hotel. For the price - you could do
much better.

My stay at the Delta Whistler hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff were
extremely nice and accommodating - we were in the middle of a cross-Canada road
trip and arrived in Whistler a day early for our stay. It was late at night and
we checked at several nearby hotels only to find them extremely expensive and/or
full. However, the staff at Delta were happy to help us and found us a room!
The location of this hotel is great; it's in the middle of Whistler village and
it's close to everything. Our room was extremely clean and well-kept; seemed
like new. The pool and all the other amenities of the hotel were definitely
above average. I really don't have anything to complain about!

You've gotta love kids to stay here. The place is filled with them. The pool and
hot tub, all kids all the time. And no surprise given that this place is mostly
one and two bedroom suites. Except our room, which was a tiny studio. With an
uncomfortable bed that squeaked like crazy every time you moved.
On the plus side it was quiet and bike storage was easy to access. All you had
to do was go to the bell desk and he'd open the room, which was just beside
reception, up for you. Unlike some hotels in Whistler which have bike storage in
the parking garages.
Overall the place is too big and with too little character for my liking. I
prefer more intimate hotels such as the Sundial, or even the Glacier Lodge.

The Delta Village Suites Whistler staff was very nice and accommodating. Can't
think of anything we did not like. Great staff, centrally located in Whistler
Village. Parking was expensive but secure, beds very comfortable and the TV's
were old and tiny.

We traveled from Vancouver to Whistler for an overnight trip. The Delta Village
Suites Whistler hotel is located in the Village which is where you want to be in
Whistler. All the shops, restaurants and gondola are within walking distance.
Gorgeous area. The room was sufficient but with the kitchen it seemed a little
cramped. Great for 1 or 2 nights though.

This was one of my best experiences in a hotel ever. The Delta Village Suites
Whistler rooms and amenities were great. I love whistler and the hotel is
conveniently located right across the street to the village. The front desk
staff went well out of their way to help me at every opportunity. My ski goggles
were lost when my baggage was taken to my room and they paid for new ones for
me!! I was very, very appreciative. All the products in the bathrooms are high
quality and I love the fact that the rooms are suites so you can prepare your
own meal if you wish. Very handy. Thanks to the delta. I will be back for sure.

We spent two nights in a 2 bed roomed suite. We had read mixed reviews but had
got the accommodation at a good price and had modest expectations. However we
were very pleasantly surprised with the high standard of accommodation and
wished we could stay longer.
The 2 bedroom suite was accessed by a one central door but each bedroom with en
suite had its own door within this. The living area was comfy and the kitchen
was very well equipped with full oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher
and washing machine and tumble dryer. There was also a good supply of cooking
utensils.
Our teenagers had 2 double beds in their room plus fridge, microwave and kettle.
The bathrooms had lovely June Jacobs toiletries.
We had requested a quiet room and were in block two. Some people had reported
noise in other reviews but we had no problems in this block.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of village amenities. We enjoyed the
outdoor pool although it did get very busy in late afternoon with lots of kids.
Parking was quite dear, I think it was $20 per night. Some people might find the
lack of a restaurant in the hotel a disadvantage but we were happy to cook for
ourselves. We did get very tasty take always on the first night from a nearby
restaurant called Caramba. They offer a take away service on all their meals eg
salmon fillet with accompanying potatoes and vegetables and not just on
traditional take away food.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

Our Travel Agent advised us of the Delta Whistler Suites. The place is looking
its age a little but the location beats it all. In the centre of Whistler, its
exactly the place you want to be ! A short walk to everything you need to enjoy
this beautiful town.
The suite we were in was spacious and fully self contained. It was clean and the
bed very comfortable.
The staff were very happy and friendly and willing to help. A special thank you
to a staff member called Cassie who came up to us whilst we were in the town and
said we looked a bit lost. She had seen us looking at a map and went out of her
way to come over and ask if we needed help. She gave us some great directions
and help and she was a breath of fresh air and a credit to the Delta Whistler.
Thank you.

This property is getting a little older looking but not bad, the room was clean
and comfy and has all the amenities of a suite. The location good.. The could be
better part is regarding if your room is facing the road in anyway you do hear
traffic at night and of course the party crowd late at night in the village.
Close to everything and good value for a suite.

We booked Delta Whistler Village Suites on Allure Hotels and got a good rate of
about $90. On arrival, check-in was friendly and efficient. Like everywhere else
in Whistler it seems to be totally manned by Aussies, Brits and Kiwis.
Our first room was a big disappointment. On the top floor and apparently right
next to the plant room for the lifts. Every 30 seconds there was a load whirring
sound. Apart from that, the room was surprisingly small for an apartment hotel,
but otherwise well appointed with nice beds and bathroom.
After a gentle complaint, we were efficiently upgraded to a full suite with a
living area, kitchen, separate bedroom and balcony. Fabulous. Would be great for
families.
Didn't eat there, there are plenty of great options for all meals in Whistler.
The pool area is great. The pool is large with an indoor entry in the warm
(never seen that before!), two outdoor and one indoor hot-tubs, a large fitness
centre and a dry Sauna. I started my days there and it was pretty much empty
early in the morning.
Be warned that parking is $20 per night at the Delta Whistler Village Suites,
but that is pretty standard.

Delta Whistler Village Suites is close to all the shops ,restaurants and
activities. Room was a little small (studio) but the balcony made up for that.
Pool area was a good size and never too busy. Always had a good night sleep even
with a party going on at the pool one night. Staff was great , very helpful.

We've stayed at Delta Whistler Village Suites several times . We like the suites
format, with full kitchen and washer/dryer. We always walk to the grocery store
as soon as we arrive, so we aren't forced to eat out all the time. After a day
or so, it feels like home.
Well located between the village and the market square.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is impeccably clean, beds very
comfortable. Relaxed decor.
Delta Whistler Village Suites is surrounded by restaurants, but doesn't have its
own.
An excellent upscale hotel, at a very reasonable price (for Whistler).

We stayed at the Delta Whistler Village Suites in June 2009.
My wife and I were celebrating our 25th and decided to get away to Whistler &
Vancouver for a few days. We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago and at
that time, found the large family suite we booked pretty nice, and served two
adults & two kids well.
On this visit our standard Queen room was clean, but very small. The décor is
getting a bit dated. The hotel is a pretty good middle of the road value for
Whistler. The location is great but just about every hotel built on or near the
village is good.
In all honesty, there was nothing terrible to report with our stay here, but
nothing that would make my stay here memorable either. A fine choice if you are
looking for a decent roof over your head.
The misplaced Australian front desk & concierge staff was outstanding in making
our check in and inquiries a great experience here!
