Hotel Review of the
Sundial Boutique Hotel Whistler

We recently stayed in Whistler at the Sundial hotel. The rooms were
large and comfortable. We stayed in a village view unit, but we found
the view across the valley at the other mountains was fantastic. The
front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They made a great
recommendation for a yoga class at a nearby studio. Coming down from our
room and having the ski valet hand us our skis right at the elevator was
a nice treat. We couldn't really be any closer to the lifts - ski
conditions were terrific - Whistler has tons of snow. All and all
enjoyed our short visit to Whistler.

Hiking through Whistler Village in ski boots is never a good idea. The
Sundial is right at the base of the lifts - absolutely perfect. Walk in
- pass them your skis and relax ... while most people are still hiking
to their "hillside" accommodations.
We loved our time at the Sundial - and would recommend it to everyone.

Now that's a bed! Stayed here during the Paralympics, and boy am I glad
I did!
It is a fantastic and luxurious hotel, wonderfully situated only a few
metres from the bottom of the slopes, and with a most friendly and
welcoming staff. The bed was so comfortable I slept too long and missed
the opportunity to use the pool. Oh well, definitely a good reason to
return. Oh and the mountain view, well that was amazing, both during the
day, and also a ringside seat at night when there was entertainment on.
I'll definitely be coming back!

Stayed the week after the Olympics ended. Great location and service.
Rooms clean, modern and generally well appointed. TV in master bedroom
so small it was unwatchable unless sitting at edge of bed. I'm not sure
if it was an unusally festive night (Sunday night) but the pounding of
music and yelling from the people outside kept the whole family awake
until 3:45 am. Made for a bad day on the slopes. We were even
considering leaving and driving home but stayed, and although the next
night was a little loud, it was better than the first night.

The hotel was gorgeous, the room spacious and just as nicely decorated.
The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The parking left quite a bit to
be desired. They do not have enough to accommodate all guests checked in
to the hotel. Just because you paid for parking does not guarantee you a
parking spot in the garage. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable.
My friend and I are in our late 20's and early 30's and our backs were
so sore in the morning. If the hotel would purchase more comfortable
mattresses we would most definitely stay here again.

Can't fault this place - meant to stay there several time before but
never had the chance - great rooms (we had a 2 bed) - perfectly located
at the heart of the action and handy for gondolas, village trail, shops,
restaurants etc. Would definitely stay here again - great staff too -
couldn't help enough when we were organising activities and babysitting
etc. We've been staying in Whistler most Summers since 2000 and this was
the best location yet - great value for money also

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this hotel twice. The room was
impeccable; very well decorated, clean and comfortable. The room we
stayed in had a private hot tub that over looked the base of the
mountain.
The second time we went we arrived on my boyfriends birthday. Upon
arriving we went for a brief walk in the village we returned to find a
six pack of corona and a birthday card from the hotel staff. We were
very impressed. Little details like this really make this hotel above
and beyond the best place to stay in town.
We had a couples massage that was fabulous.
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. I will only stay here from
now on in Whistler, I would and do recommend this hotel to anyone who is
going to Whistler.

Superb location and excellent service. Look no further!
Location, location, location! You’re in the center of the village and
action, action, action. The view is excellent. The hot tub on top of the
building is rather small. The parking is not included and is spendy.
12-14 miles down the road there are are groceries, etc. All in all is a
wonderful experience, well worth it!

My guest and I were flabbergasted when we walked into our 2 bedroom
suite. It was gorgeous and very large. It only had 1 bathroom and we
thought it had 2, but that wasn’t a problem. So far we were very
impressed...until we went to bed. The beds were so very uncomfortable.
They are very stiff and we both ached throughout the duration of our
vacation. If the Sundial Boutique would just spring for some comfortable
beds, it would be perfect!

This hotel is in the middle of everything - steps from the gondolas,
shopping, and restaurants, but without the noise due to the proximity.
We had a 1-bedroom suite. It was spacious and nicely laid out. The
kitchen has all the utensils. The desk clerk was courteous and eager to
help. All in all, we were very happy with the stay.

Great place to stay, located at the base of Blackcomb. Village Stroll is right
behind the hotel and the rental shop is right next door. All in all a very
convenient option plus 4 star accommodations.

Steps from the lifts and great staff.
Not exactly sure why they call it a boutique hotel as the decor isn't terribly
modern or unique. Perhaps just a small step above your Westin's, Fairmont's,
etc. The rooms are spacious and quiet. Windows open and some units have little
balconies. Kitchenette in our room with the usual amenities. The beds are pretty
comfortable. Aveda toiletries provided. Wifi coverage was good in our corner
unit.
Front desk staff are great and the best sushi restaurant in the Village is
downstairs. Far enough away from the main bars and soundproofed enough that late
night rowdiness shouldn't disturb you. |
