I love this hotel. Yes it's modern and doesn't have the character of some other
hotels but it's smart, the staff are friendly and know their stuff and the room
was to die for.
Our room had a little kitchenette with a view of Whistler Village. Fireplace,
nice sofa, lounge area and nice bedroom. All in all a really great hotel and a
great stay.
The staff even knew it was my birthday and took the time to sign a card. How
nice is that?!
It's in a fantastic location, right in the middle of town, you can walk
everywhere and we got a complimentary breakfast which, again, was unusual for
Canada.
You still have to pay for parking but I get the feeling that is the norm here.
If you're staying in Whislter...stay here.

We stayed here for a few days back in September 2010(not on the selection bar
below anymore). The staff were really nice and helpful. We had the complimentary
breakfast one day and it was good. The pool and hot tub were clean and so nice
to sit outside in the hot tub. We were very happy with our room, we had a suite
with a great view of the mountain. We were especially happy that it was no
problem we were travelling with our huge dog. The location cannot be beat. I
will stay here again next time.

We have stayed here twice now, and have booked for 2012 already.
Why?
1. Location - less than 5 mins walk to the ski lifts, via the Pan Pacific
Mountainside where you have a ski locker for all your kit. It is also close to
bars / restaurants in the village.
2. Rooms - we have stayed in a 1 bed suite both times, loads of space and the
benefit of a small kitchen. We like to relax and cook for ourselves while away
and this offers us all we need.
3. Staff - everyone we came in to contact with was helpful and friendly, and
went out of their way to help us. We asked to swap sides of the hotel for the
view, and although they couldn't do it straight away, as soon as there was
availability they moved our bags and put us in a new room.
4. Breakfast - the key to a good day on the slopes is a good breakfast, and PP
offers this in spades, bacon, eggs loads of pastries and strong coffee. A great
way to start the day!

Pan Pacific Whistler, like all other hotels in Canada, have amazing staff. Don't
know how they do it, but it is a welcome change from some hotels in the U.S.
They seem to be mostly from Australia or New Zealand and so helpful and nice.
The hotel is located right in the center of the village, steps away from the
restaurants and shops. It is bit further from the lifts compared to some other
hotels, including Pan Pacific Mountainside. May be bit tiring walking that
distance with skis and boots. We were there in September, so no problem for us.
The hotel rooms are large, well equipped with a large fridge, microwave,
dishwasher and all utensils. There is also a gas fireplace which gives out nice
heat. The bedroom is also nice, with its own flat screen TV and a very
comfortable bed.
We used the hot tub, but not the sauna. Nice and relaxing after a long day of
walking around.
The included buffet breakfast was also very good. Not a lot of item, but plenty
of fresh fruit, good coffee, pastry, cold meats and cheese.
If you are a runner/walker, the Lost Lake loop is very nice - around 7 km - and
beautiful. It starts just across the street from the hotel. |
