Hotel Review of the Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre

Pan Pacific Whistler Village centre was a wonderful place to stay. We
stayed in room #4409 and it was great. It was beautiful, very clean,
great views, fantastic location, friendly and very helpful staff.
this hotel sits in the whistler village in a fantastic location. The
village is great for shopping, access to the mountains, and great
restaurants, lots of activities to do in the summer too!
We had a great dinner at the restaurant called 21 in the village. As you
eat your dinner you have a view of the village with people coming and
going.
What a great trip to Whistler!

"Whistler Gem"
This small (85 rooms) suite hotel provides excellent service, spacious
rooms and a great location. The "included" buffet breakfast represents
great value and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. For
skiers, equipment can be stored next to the lifts at the Pan Pacific
mountainside, only a short walk from this location. There is an array of
restaurants and stores within the Village, all of which can be reached
within ten minutes or less.

This Hotel was superb.
The Staff were friendly, helpful in every way, courteous, and very
knowledgeable about the surrounding area and events.
The rooms are spotless, spacious, good decor, and very comfortable.
The kitchen area has lots of very good utensils and dishes and glassware
........ we never need for anything for the meals we cooked in our
suite.
We were upgraded to a higher floor which was very considerate of the
Hotel.
We enjoyed the morning Buffet ........ lots of pastries, cereals,
fruits, juices, hardboiled eggs, toast, bagels, and beverages etc.
....... a good start for a busy day.
The Hotel couldn't be in a better location ......... so close to
everything but in a rather quiet area of the village.
Whistler is a truly wonderful place, and the Pan Pacific Whistler
Village Centre just adds to the atmosphere of this mountain village

At first this hotel looks great from the outside and the lobby. In fact
the rooms looks great too upon entering. We had a 1 bedroom suite, which
unfortunately is not available with a kingsize bed. So the first
negative for me is the small bed.
As far as equipment in the room goes, it is a fully equipped kitchen.
Downsides for me were the small aged televisions, with bad picture
quality. Sucks to be watching your favourite team in the World Cup on a
noisy small tv.
The major problem for me was the loud noise of the refrigerator which
kept me awake during the night. Even at the lowest setting it would
sounds like a jackhammer in the night.

Where do I start, we were first greeted by the Valet offering to take
our bag and park our car, once in side the front desk service was great.
Both people on the desk were very friendly and fast at helping us. Our
room was on the 3rd floor, it was a one bedroom suite. it was very clean
and had everything in it to make our stay perfect. About an hour after
we arrived in our room, the front desk called to see if we were happy
with the room and if we needed a news paper in the morning or any thing
else, like making dinner reservations for us. The next morning we went
to the inclusive breakfast buffet, yes it was included in the price of
the hotel room. Breakfast was great, lots to choose from, if you didn't
stay at the hotel then the breakfast would have been $12.00 each. We
stayed there 2 nights June 6th and 7th. As we had the preference package
we also had free Valet parking, which normally would be $25.00 a night..
It was a great experience. When we checked out on the 8th we asked if we
could leave out car in the Valet Parking as we were not leaving untill
later that day, no problem at all they said, They even locked up out
lugage in a safe place until we were ready to leave Whistler. Upon
leaving we talked to the Manager, who was very friendly, we said we had
a wonderful time at this hotel and would be back again. I would
recommend this hotel to any one who wants to visit Whistler. We had
stayed several times before in Whistler, but this hotel is by far the
best one to stay at. Thanks again for the wonderful service.

Just got back today from staying at the Pan Pacific Centre Village. It
was simply superb. The hotel is not fancy in a "Four Seasons" kind of
way. But they do a lot of things very well. We pulled up to the front
entrance, checked in and a wonderful gentleman eagerly unloaded all of
our luggage and parked our car. No wait to check in. The hotel is very
lightly scented like almonds. Not too strong at all, but very warm and
inviting. We had a 2 bedroom suite with a view of the mountains and
gondola and part of the village. The room was spotless. The beds were
comfy and inviting and the kitchen had everything you needed to make a
meal, including plates cups, utensils too. Both bathrooms were stocked
with Aveda products that were wonderful. The center village is literally
just a few short steps away. The peak to peak gondola was spectacular
and only a 3-4 minute walk away from the hotel. The zip trek pick up is
in the same area. Both events are TOTALLY worth doing if you can. The
hotel has a complimentary breakfast which consists of pastries, cereal,
boiled eggs, bagels, fruit and a host of cold and hot drinks. Not fancy
but adequate. There is also a starbucks downstairs from the hotel and a
grocery store 3-4 minute walk away. The pool is small, but nicely heated
and clean. There is a common room with computers, board games and a cozy
fireplace that is perfect for chilling out or time with the young ones.
The staff is so accommodating and friendly that it made be blush. I
noticed that the center village turns into a mini "Las Vegas" type
atmosphere with the young people and such. Pan Pacific is not in the
middle, but on the edge of the village so we were kind of away from some
of the late night foolishness. When I am traveling with my 4 kids I
research the heck out of wherever I am going. Pan Pacific is number one
for a reason. Pan pacific anticipated our needs and totally took care of
us. The hotel exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Don't think twice
about whether or not to stay here!! Oh yes, free wi-fi too!!

What can I say, but add to the superlatives concerning this hotel. From
the second I arrived to my departure I felt well taken care of in every
aspect. Small spa area and an annoying TV in the breakfast restaurant,
sure, but it doesnīt change my feelings at all. I canīt wait to come
back, it was worth 19 hours of travelling from Sweden. And thatīs a
credit. |
