Review of the Days Inn on the Harbour Victoria
July 3, 2011
This was our 3rd stay at this hotel over a period of 7 years. It is an older
property with newer hotels on either side but it still offers good value at
approx. $130.- per night with harbour view room. The rooms are of a reasonable
size, clean & comfortable. No air conditioning but you can open the window
(street noise not overwhelming) or use the fan provided.
Restaurant has wide selection of dishes and servings are generous! Staff in all
departments (Reception, Housekeeping, Dining Room) very pleasant and efficient.
Plenty of free parking for guests. Being located on the Inner Harbour provides
guests with the opportunity of walking to many of the tourist points of interest
- Provincial Legislature, BC Museum & Archives etc. A good base for exploring
Victoria.

the location of the hotel is great, overlooking the harbour and near the museum.
The hotel was busy and only one lift was a bit of a bother. the hotel could do
with a face lift as it was well used, but clean. i would not recommend eating
breakfast at the hotel. it was disorganized, slow and not the best grub. the
problem appears to be that it is near a ferry terminal and lots of people pop in
for breakfast while waiting for the ferry. the wifi connection was very week

This is a perfectly located hotel for a city break. Kitchens are small and not
greatly equipped, but adequate for purpose. My husband thinks it was the best
pool ever as it is lovely and warm!! Reception staff friendly and helpful, and
room not noisy despite close proximity of bar. Location is its selling point...

If you're looking for a fantastic harbour view, service that is more 'bed &
breakfast' or 'country inn' than hotel, plus good dollar value, then this should
be your choice of stay while in Victoria. The restaurant was fantastic. As a
solo traveler and a senior, I was always made to feel comfortable here,. Thanks
again to the staff!

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times while in Victoria and enjoy my stays
there more each time. The front end staff is always friendly, pleasant,
courteous and very helpful in every way.
The housekeeping staff is also very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are
always clean and fresh. The beds are very comfortable.
The hotel is located near the downtown core for shopping and entertainment
purposes but with the view overlooking the harbour feels "away from the hustle
and bustle".
Whenever I check out of the hotel I look forward to my next stay with them.
It also has a wonderful restaurant - "The Swiftsure" whose executive chef, Mark
Griffith, does a marvelous job.
I also appreciate the welcoming letter in my room from the management when I
arrive. All in all a very positive experience.
