Guest Review of the Marriott Hotel Victoria Inner Harbor

Fabulous hotel right behind the Fairmont Empress. Hotel room was quiet and
clean, beds were comfortable, and all around excellent stay. We had an
exceptionally sunny and warm week which added to our overall enjoyment of things
to do in Victoria. If you are at all physically inclined, do not miss the Adrena
Line zipline adventure. We are both around 60 years old and had so much fun.
Unlike many other ziplines in the US, this one uses a block to stop your flight
prior to landing so it is a very gentle landing. I would also recommend the
Prince of Wales whale watching trip - we saw humpback and orcas and then the
boat dropped us off at Butchart Gardens. On Sat. nights, there is a fireworks
and illumination event there that you should not miss.

We have stayed at a lot of hotels all over the world, and I must say that this
stay at the Marriott in Victoria BC was the best in recent memory. Without
exception all of the staff that we encountered were friendly and efficient. The
rooms (we stayed twice over a period of 5 days) were impeccably clean, bright
and fully equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the
pillows were plush. The lobby was big, bright and welcoming. Their front desk
and concierge staff were outstanding.
I cannot think of anything that they could have done to improve our experience.
We give our recommendation and endorsement of this hotel unreservedly. Even the
room rate was an excellent value (we also stayed at the Empress the same week,
and it didn't come close in value comparison to the Marriott).

We stayed here for 2 nights - the staff was very nice and the hot apple cider
was a nice touch after a cool or cold night out!
the rooms were good size and we had adjoining rooms for 3 families, so that was
nice. we visited Butchart gardens at night -- oh, so cold, but oh, so nice!!
would come here again!

Stayed three nights. Staff, especially the Concierge Michael were very friendly
and helpful. Our room was large, with a great view, very clean and quiet, light
and airy. It had two chairs plus a desk and chair. Windows opened if we wanted
fresh air. Very good, central location in shopping district. Bath was large with
a shower.

The location of this hotel and the service were true highlights! I strongly
suggest the concierge level. The breakfast and snacks etc. were convenient, the
view from the lounge nice and the concierge very helpful. |
