Old world elegance and ambiance, spacious, perfect location, and we found the
room and service fine. They had good bikes available, great way to enjoy the
coast and inland biking trails. A highlight of a pleasure trip to British
Columbia.

Always have a pretty good stay while at the empress. I enjoy the workout stuff
that is always waiting for me in my room (shoes, shirt, shorts and socks). The
workout facility is very good, as is the pool. Every time I stay here the room
layout / style is always different. Location in the city is good and service is
always solid. Bengal lounge is a good place for business drinks and dinner.

When we arrived at this hotel we'd been camping for 3 nights and looked a bit of
a site rolling into reception. The staff didn't even bat an eyelid. They were so
professional and helpful. We had a lovely room and bathroom. It was styled in a
fitting way for the building and had a big window you could open. Parking was
really easy too. Only downside was there was a function in the suite next to us
during our stay which was a little strange. Overall, we had a really lovely stay
for our anniversary.

We just celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary and planned this very special
event by staying at the Empress. We lived in the great Northwest for a few years
and fell in love with British Columbia as well. We now live in the Deep South in
the USA and perceive the luxury that is available at the Empress was equal to
this significant occasion in our lives. This was the 4th time we have stayed at
the Empress and the experience again was most memorable. Thank you

I took my girlfriend for a romantic night at the Empress for her birthday. Wow!
Did I get major brownie points!! We got a room with Fairmount gold service, and
what a treat that was. We totally felt like famous people and the attention to
detail was phenomenal! We dropped our bags in the room and went for a hotel tour
and then some shopping nearby. When we got back, there were little chocolate
treats, a nice note, the curtains were drawn and some cool lounge music was
playing on the Bose CD player. Great ambiance!
We went to the famous Empress dining room for a fancy dinner. Our waiter Earle
was just fantastic! He made our dinner a special experience and the food, the BC
wine and the ambiance was just outstanding!
We then went for drinks at the Bengal Lounge for drinks and once again, Lorne
our waiter was top notch! He would not let us leave without us having some cake
and he actually went out of his way to bring cake to our room!
This is a treat you must experience once in a while! It's really a must do in
Victoria. Definitely 5 stars all the way! |
