Review of the Abigails Bed Breakfast Hotel Victoria

We stayed at Abigail's for four nights recently and had a wonderful time.
We were in the main building and had a fireplace room which was full of charm
and character. The bathroom has a shower and a jet bath which all worked fine.
Parking is free and we were able to get a space every day without issue. We
found out when we arrived that breakfast was included in the price of our room,
which we had not known and came as a very nice surprise.
It was a little walk to the harbour but it only took 10 minutes or so and we
often enjoy a walk after eating and did not find it at all strenuous at all.
We enjoyed breakfast every day and they also put out any leftover scones or
muffins after breakfast, we took some for lunch on a few days and this kept us
going until the evening. The nibbles they put out in the evening were very nice
and there was generally at least four different things you could choose from.
Tea and coffee were available whenever you wanted them, in the library or near
the breakfast bar. I felt that the staff were most helpful and they made us most
welcome.
I would recommend Abigail's if you fancy a bit of old style charm and service
with a bit of pampering thrown in.Reviews of the Abigails Bed Breakfast

The moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles...They upgraded our room at
no charge to a Coach House room because all the Sunflower rooms were taken and
also gave us a complementary bottle of wine...The cleanliness of room was
outstanding and the fresh cookies were delicious...I couldn't get enough the the
lettuce wraps mmm...We will definitely stay here again in the near future...

When my wife retired last year we decided to take a road trip to celebrate. We
drove up the coast from Central California to Vancouver, BC. We had reservations
to stay for a weekend at Abigail's, based upon a review we read in an article
somewhere. The drive was lovely in great weather. The ferry crossing was quite
pleasant after so many days on the road. The inn was just the best we could
imagine. Great rooms very well appointed with lovely furniture and smashing
color schemes. A wonderful bathroom tops off the accommodations. The top floor
rooms seemed to me to be the best, for fresh air, views and space, but no
elevator, so they're just for the healthy climbers. Fresh made cookies in the
room on arrival, wonderful breakfasts prepared by a top notch chef each morning
and chatting with the other guests from around the world was just charming. The
staff took care of our every need, promptly and with a smile. Parking was
available and ample, no extra charge. The neighborhood in which the inn is
located is a charming residential area, quiet and within a short drive to the
downtown shopping section and many darling restaurants.
One place that anyone from out-of-town must try...Red Fish Blue Fish on the
waterfront. Great fried fish wraps like I have never had anywhere else. Plus you
can watch the planes and boats take-off and land while you are eating there.
Always a fairly long line, but worth the wait.

It is clear that the highest attention is paid to every detail. From the
welcoming staff, the fresh cookies and complimentary bottled water, to the most
outstanding breakfast ever in a B&B! Highly discerning travelers will be greatly
rewarded.

If you don't like up and down three flights of stairs, don't stay here! Also,
for cocktail hour with appetizers, you have to buy your wine - not free! I got a
half-off deal but still was not worth the price - would have hated to pay full
fare,. |
