Hotel is very old. Can hear the neighbours talking. I'm sure that they heard us
as well. You cannot control the air conditioning. They control it for you. They
turn it off in the evening and turn it back on early morning. Luckily, they have
a portable fan in the room. We tried leaving the door open but mosquito's came
in (no screen). They give you 4 pillows on each bed that are different kinds so
that you can pick and choose what kind you like (they even had a feather down).
Beds were ok, a little squeaky and noisy when someone is turning over. Good
location. Not too far from the downtown area and not to close. The
garden/sitting area is beautiful and they keep it well maintained. We ate
breakfast at the hotel and it was average, not bad but not spectacular. Very
friendly and helpful staff there.

This is an older property, it has been kept reasonably clean and was an OK place
to stay, but wasn't the best value for the money, especially when considering
the rate didn't include parking or breakfast. The pool and exercise room are
small, the washroom in our room was smaller than those in other "limited
service" hotels where we have stayed in the past. There is one elevator, it's
also small and slow compared to newer buildings. The parking is tight - there
are only 5 spots for a taller vehicle, and they are narrow and not easy to get
in and out of.

Nice hotel only a few blocks from the inner harbor, Beacon Park, and all
downtown attractions. Hotel is clean, a little noisy if you get a room by the
street. Be aware that unlike most Quality Inns, this one does not have a
breakfast included with the room. There is a small work-out room, and a small
pool, but no hot tub, so not a lot of amenities on site. Staff is friendly.

I have stayed in this hotel a few times and by far, it is my favorite big name
hotel in Victoria. Safe, clean, pretty. Plus it's close to everything you would
want in Victoria. The staff is very nice, even in the middle of the night and
they are very helpful. Stay here. It's great.

Convenient location.
I stayed in two deferent rooms, 4 days each. The bedding had unpleasant odor.
One room had a thread bare chair and fridge in the bathroom. A maid started to
vacuum outside of my room at 7:45. Did not enjoy my stay. |
