This is a very nice Marriott property; clean, quiet, great location, easy
walking distance to the inner harbor, BC museum, parliament building, ferry's,
etc.
Located about one and a half blocks from the inner harbor, the hotel is just far
enough away from the main street past the harbor that it doesn't have much
traffic noise. An easy walk takes one to the rear, convention center entrance of
the Empress Hotel.
The Marriott restaurant food was very good. The breakfast buffet was complete
with hot food, good selection of fresh fruit, nice pastries, and wonderful
coffee.
The hotel staff was eager to please and the bell staff was very competent.
We had a room with two double beds. The bathroom was nicely laid out, although
not overly spacious there was plenty of room for us to spread out our respective
toiletries. There was also a nice balcony.
This is one of those hotels that I would recommend without reservation and I
would stay here again should I be in Victoria, BC.

Perfectly located hotel, very professional and friendly staff, great service. We
enjoyed a spacious and beautiful corner room with the most spectacular 180
degree view we could imagine! The slight setback from the busiest downtown
streets means it`s quieter but in no way compromises the ideal location for
walking to all the sights. The concierge floor services are outstanding, and we
can`t imagine staying anywhere else when we come back to Victoria next.

Rock solid Marriott stuff here...good location, very friendly/helpful staff,
clean, reasonably priced, high quality bed and bedding, perfectly acceptable
room. However, it also has the faceless quality of Marriott and except for the
view of the Empress across the way...you could be anywhere in "Marriottworld".
We slept well here...but crossed the street to the Empress for sense of Victoria
time and place and good place to gather.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights recently while on business
combined with a couple of days of vacation. The location was excellent for
getting around the downtown and harbourfront on foot. I was impressed with the
condition of the room, especially the bathroom and the bed. We were not bothered
by noise and slept well in the very comfortable beds. We ordered breakfast in
twice and ate in the dining room twice - excellent service and value for money.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would certainly go back again if we
could.
