We were extremely pleased with our stay at the Oswego. It's just a couple of
short blocks from the Clipper ferry to/from Seattle, and an easy walk to the
Inner Harbour once we ditched our luggage. Every member of the staff we dealt
with was eager to be of service. The room was tastefully decorated and had
everything we needed (except for a luggage stand oddly, though we didn't bother
to ask for one). Our only quibble was that the WiFi was incompatible with our
iPod Touch; use of the computer in the "Business Center" was free though. Plenty
of free street parking around on the weekend.

Perfect location on a quiet side street 1 minutes walk from the harbour area in
Victoria. Good size room and bathroom with an amazingly well equipped kitchen.
Paid £300 for 3 nights which compared to lot of other places we stayed in Canada
was great value for the money.

We stayed two nights as part of a BC Ferries package (Quick aside...HIGHLY
recommend the BC Ferries package. 2 nights with hotel parking, two ferry trips,
and whale watching in a single package saved money and LOTS of worry...now we
return you to your regularly scheduled review).
The hotel is perfectly situated a block or so from the inner harbor area which
is the center of the tourist action In Victoria: an easy walk to Parliament, BC
Museum, The Empress, and on to the downtown district of restaurants, shops,
clubs, etc. There's even live performers and art sales along the harbor, but I
digress again.
Yes, the room was smallish, but complete with kitchenette, french press coffee,
balcony, internet, etc. We were more than a little worried about the Murphy bed,
but it was very comfortable for us. I think our room was the smallest floor plan
with a balcony; the view looked out toward the harbor. It was partially
obstructed by other buildings, but we could see float planes landing and the
mountains in the distance, so all was good.
The bathroom had both a tub and stand-up shower, which was a pleasant surprise.
The walls were a bit thin with doors opening and closing, but not any more than
most other hotels, and never a problem after hours. The staff was courteous and
professional. There are even complimentary apples and gourmet teas and coffees.
We can't say enough about the location (and the BC Ferries package); our stay
was perfect and far exceeded our expectations. We wholehearted recommend the
Oswego and will be back for our next trip to Victoria.

Great location, close to everything, no need for a car. Front desk staff was
very friendly and helpful, they know their city. I really love the condo style
hotels, even if the rooms are not large, the layout gives you a feeling of
space. The balcony was a nice touch. I liked the decor, modern and practical. I
would love to give a 5 star but breakfast was disappointing, we didn't eat at
the hotel so can't say much else about the food.

The beds are cheap futons that are extremely uncomfortable. The room service
does not come and clean your room every day. They won't even give you more soap!
You would think that 200 a night they would clean your room. The food is
terrible. The menu is very limited. The food that they do offer isn't edible.
Honesty spend your money somewhere else! This hotel isn't worth it!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked with the Oswego. It is a lovely
looking hotel from the outside, and the entrance is lovely also.
The suites are, as others have commented a bit more function than form, with
rather drab colours and stock photographs. However, the balcony in the sunny am
was wonderful and the French press with good quality coffee made a wonderful
wake up experience.
The set up for the TV in the bedroom is poor as it is off to the left and one
has to crick one's neck to watch. Never mind the position of the tv, we had to
have it fixed twice while we were there because it was stuck on a game channel.
We were unable to use the guide on our bedroom tv which is a drag as the system
is a satellite system and there are hundreds of channels from which to choose.
(That's a good thing, but without a guide is a challenge).
The bed was very comfortable and the venue lovely and quiet.
We stayed two nights and our suite wasn't cleaned all day despite the fact we
were gone for a good three hours mid day.
The breakfast in the restaurant was passable, but uninspired.
Everyone working here was very friendly and accommodating of my requests and
concerns.
One other pet peeve - only one bathrobe in the bathroom when two people are
occupying the suite....not sure why....and no wireless internet unless you asked
to have it set up....only one plug in for the main room.
I might stay here again, but couldn't give it an outstanding review.

Stayed here for 4 nights, through the TELUS Skins golf tournament.
Similar look and feel to new Westin or W hotels. All suites. Kitchen has full
size appliances. Bathroom has a separate tub and glass shower.
Great lobby bar. Great front desk staff. Nice decorating throughout hotel and
rooms.
Only complaints are that the lighting in the bathroom could have been brighter
(although I did like the fixture), and the outside wall is all glass, with
blinds, which lets a lot of morning light in. All queen size beds, too. I prefer
a king size, myself.
Secure underground parking, if you have a car.
French press for your coffee.
HD satellite TV setup in the living room. Think it was standard definition in
the bedroom.
The hotel has a very expensive, contemporary vibe. Very roomy. A few of the
tournament golfers were staying here, as well, so that's a good testimonial.
