We stayed for two nights and could not have been more pleased with the room,
the view, the service, the food and the spa. We took the boat shuttle to
Butchart Gardens and it was a very unique way to arrive by water. Would love
to have stayed longer.

OK, I'll admit it....after reading some of the other reviews, I had my
worries about this property (I was particularly concerned about the location
and construction noise). However, those concerns were completely unfounded,
as my husband and I had an AMAZING time at the Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa,
and we would recommend it to anyone! First off, the staff there were
amazing...very helpful and courteous! I booked a 2-night stay, which
included a $100 credit for their restaurant's) and breakfast in bed both
mornings. To my surprise, when I checked in, I was also handed two FREE
tickets for 2 to Butchart Gardens---which we had planned on visiting the
next day! What a treat! We also scheduled a couple's massage the afternoon
we checked in...which was incredible! Best massage we have ever had! And the
rooms.....ahhhh.....soo comfortable and relaxing, with an incredible view of
the bay....sooo serene and tranquil! We also loved the Jacuzzi tub for two!
Oh, they even have a DVD player in the room and offer FREE DVD rentals in
the lobby. We also took advantage of the marina being steps away from the
property, and rented a 2-person kayak......turned out to be one of our
favorite activities of our entire Canada trip. You cannot go wrong with this
property!! We will DEFINITELY return!

A great deal of thought and care has gone into the Brentwood, and it shows
at almost every turn. Wonderfully appointed, practical, lavish and
uncommonly comfortable...this hotel is about as close to the perfect getaway
as anyone can hope for. You get it all here, amazing view from your patio or
balcony, incredible king-size bed, a huge jetted tub, well-stocked fridge
(though the contents are not free), a gas fireplace and first rate service.
The Brentwood offers kayak and canoe rentals at their own dock, and there's
a ferry service to Butchart Gardens (the high point of our trip, and not to
be missed). The 5 star restaurant also lives up to its billing.
But...it's expensive. Everything about the Brentwood is expensive. It's also
not for smokers, unless you don't mind smoking out on the street. Smoking
isn't allowed anywhere on the Brentwood property. Not just the rooms and in
the building... but not on the dock, not in the parking lot, not on your
patio...nowhere.
So, as long as you have a lot of cash to spend, and as long as you're not a
smoker... or don't mind being inconvenienced if you are a smoker...then I
doubt that you'll find better digs anywhere in Canada. We thoroughly enjoyed
our experience at the Brentwood.

We stayed at Brentwood bay as part of our honeymoon in Canada, Brentwood bay
is a peaceful stopover with really nice rooms, as it was our honeymoon they
provided champagne in our room a nice touch, there is currently construction
at the hotel, we didn't hear a thing and they do provide complimentary Red
wine and earplugs. The restaurant is very good with excellent service. We
would go back.

We recently enjoyed a most restful time at the Brentwood Bay Lodge & Spa. We
stayed in the one-bedroom suite with a private hot tub where we could watch
the sunset and observe the little Brentwood Bay ferry come and go.
The resort itself, is very beautiful but so is the surrounding environment.
The resort really nicely showcases what the west coast has to offer! I
highly recommend taking a kayak for a paddle out into the inlet to get a
full feeling of how pristine and beautiful this area is. The staff were all
pleasant and helpful. While unfortunately, we didn’t get the opportunity to
eat dinner in the restaurant, we ordered breakfast in bed and thought it
delicious.
It’s a short drive outside of Victoria but far enough away to feel away from
it all! We are happy we took a night away for ourselves and will be coming
back.

Out of the way, quiet, nicely appointed room. Way overpriced for what it is,
and some bizarre multiple pre-auth billing procedures that triggered a
security hold from my personal banker--and when I provided feedback to the
"how was your stay email" (saying that I thought all the pre-auths were
unnecessary--just charge me for the stay, already) I rec'd a long, snooty
and defensive reply which "instructed" me on their complex internal billing
procedures. As if I care. Bottom line: something's not quite right in their
billing department. Watch your charges carefully if you stay here. And
there's construction going on--though I must say the contractor's crew was
very polite and there was negligible noise--though I did think it was
disingenuous of the hotel not to notify me when I made the reservation. If
you reserve, inquire about the construction.

Beautiful, well appointed rooms overlooking the bay and ferry dock. Very
quiet during early May, good onsite restaurants with great food, excellent
Spa (try the Couples Massage!)

For a couple who usually has a baby sleeping between them in a Queen size
bed = crammed ... the glorious King bed was a welcomed treat! We enjoyed the
spa beyond measure!!! Thanks to Kelsey, she's so warm and friendly ...and
Pagone ...with his FANTASTIC HEALING HANDS!!! Dinner in the pub was
scrumptious, good value too! Thanks to Grant for being an amazing server, so
attentive! Last but not least the pool and the hot tub .... mmmmmmm....the
pool is perfect at 82 degrees ...so relaxing! I sooo need to do that again
soon ...it's good for the soul!!!!
