elegance and comfort. This intimate Robson St. boutique hotel boasts a perfect
location on Vancouver’s most vibrant street in a city enthralled by both its own
extraordinary beauty and the diverse cultures of the Pacific Rim.
The have a great deal of art in the hotel with some particularly wonderful
pieces in the public areas, but also have a very nice selection in the guest
rooms, as follows -
• The Gallery Floor rooms are curated by the Buschlen Mowatt Gallery and feature
over 30 artists at the forefront of the regional and international art scene.
These rooms are on our 4th and 5th floor (approximately 54 of our 129 rooms)
and, for the most part, each room features a different artist.
• The Museum Floor rooms are curated by the Museum of Anthropology and feature
contemporary work by a Pacific Northwest Coast Native artists. These rooms are
on our 3rd and 6th floor (another 47 of our 129 rooms) and we are proud to
display work by some of our regions finest emerging and established First
Nations artists.
• Our standard floor rooms (our 2nd floor) feature the work of Vancouver
renowned painter Ross Penhall (22 of our 129 rooms).
All of the art we feature is of the highest calibre and by artists who are
considered either regionally and/or internationally significant. But, saying
that, there is nothing more subjective than art!
….that is why we are always happy to move people if they are not crazy in love
with the work in their room! (assuming we have the space) Or to put them in a
room with an artist or style of art they’re partial to or comfortable with. We
have lots of guests who specifically request one of our Bernard Gantner or ZZ
Wei rooms, or work by Robert Indiana or Yehouda Chaki....and we’re always
thrilled to accommodate!
The Listel Hotel offers accommodation for every inclination. And once your
visual senses are satisfied, move downstairs to O'Doul's Restaurant & Bar, where
the finest Westcoast fare, an award-winning wine list and the best live jazz
