We were a group of 4 adults and booked a Comfort Suite with 1 Queen and 1
Double to a reasonable price. The Suite were clean and staffed with a fridge,
the beds comfortable, the staff very nice. All in all it was a pleasant stay.
Plus it's just a 5 minute drive to the BC Ferry terminal.

I always like Coast Hotels. They aren't the fanciest places, but they are always
clean and have excellent amenities. Always a solid three star experience.
We had an upgraded one bedroom mini suite. Room included a mini fridge and
microwave. Nice toiletries including cotton balls, Q tips and two kinds of soap.
Also robes, decaf and regular coffee plus a selection of teas.
The location is excellent and very quiet at night. Just beyond the hotel is a
shopping mall with two grocery stores, a liquor store and a drug store.
McDonalds is close as are a couple other cheap eats places.
We ate at Beaches, the hotel's restaurant and found it to be pretty average.
Perhaps we caught them on a bad night as many locals we know say it is their
favorite place to dine.
I highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay in this area. It is only a
five minute drive to the BC Ferry terminal at Tsawwassen. It is also a good
alternative to Richmond hotels.

We usually stay at the Coast Tsawwassen Inn because the price is always less
than other hotels in the lower mainland, they allow our dog, and it's an
all-suite hotel so we have a living room to sit and watch television in while
our young child sleeps in the bedroom. The rooms are not exactly bright (they
are quite dark), but they are quite spacious, very clean, and nicely appointed.
Not something a person wanting incredible luxury would want, but it's nicer than
some of the places we've stayed and the price is terrific. TV's are outdated and
the reception on them not very good. We wouldn't watch movies in the room.
It is located on a busy road, however, Tsawwassen is a sleepy town and it gets
nice and quiet at night and early morning.
The pool, hot tub, and gym are nice and clean. Our little one loved being held
with us for her swim, but I wouldn't recommend anyone with a younger child go
in, unless they've been already exposed to swimming (and held by you). The pool
is deep for little ones.
My only complaint would be the restaurant. Our service was slow and they served
our meal before the kids meal came, and our daughter, 3 years old, waited a long
time for her pancake to arrive. Thankfully she is not a fussy eater and was able
to share some of our breakfast. The coffee was not very good at all either; like
it had sat there for a rather long time. The chair they sat me in had two rather
large stains on it, which kind of put me off.
The breakfast itself was delicious. I had eggs benedict and was not disappointed
with the quality.
Overall, I would definitely recommend anyone staying at the hotel and we will go
back many more times, however, check out another restaurant if you can for your
meals, unless you're willing to pay for room service and wait, since the food is
rather good.

My son and friend and I stayed here as part of our "4 waterslide parks in 4
days" roadtrip. It's very close to Splashdown Park (which, by the way was not
that fun), but I hadn't even realized it's on the same road that goes across the
border to Point Roberts just a few miles away - that was a fun little unexpected
side trip! But back to the hotel - we stayed on a Saturday night and the place
felt almost empty. The lobby looks like a professional business hotel, the front
desk staff were nice, and check-in was a breeze. Somehow I was selected as
"special guest of the day" (I guess they do it every day) and received a free
room upgrade to a large suite! The room was clean, VERY large, quiet, and the
kitchen was well stocked with utensils, etc. The bathroom was also very large
and came complete with a rubber duckie and robes. It was a little strange that
when they last remodeled they decided to use "bath fitters" instead of
re-tiling, but all was clean and seemed new. Comfortable beds, no street noise,
covered parking garage ("parkade") and my son loved the pool and hot tub (they
have a sauna too). It's not particularly plush or high end compared to the major
business hotel chains, but it was an all-around great experience for us!

We stayed here last weekend for my Sister in laws wedding in the area. The rooms
although quite dark were very clean and comfortable.
We stayed in a comfort suite which had a small living room area as you walk in
with a pull out couch. There's no natural lighting in this part of the room so
it is very dark as you walk in. There is a bar fridge & microwave in this area
of the room. Through a small hallway is the bathroom & closet and then the
bedroom.
The bedroom itself was clean and bright with a window to the back alley. There
were no noise issues and the bed was comfortable
On one of the mornings we had breakfast in the cafe. About $27 for two and it
was tasty with decent portions and good coffee. Starbucks is only 2 blocks south
of the hotel and there's a Timmy's 4 blocks south.
For dinners...4 blocks up near the safeway is a White spot or for something a
bit more upscale Illuminati. We ate a both and enjoyed both. |

We flew into Vancouver late and rented a car, as we were taking the ferry from
the Tsawwassen terminal to Victoria the next morning. We needed accommodation
overnight and although I knew we could choose any hotel near the airport, it
would have meant a long drive to the ferry terminal early the next morning and
we'd already had a very long travel day (& night). I had researched "hotels
close to Tsawwassen" online, and found The Coast Tsawwassen Inn, which is only 7
minutes from the ferry terminal. It's also only about 40 mins. (depending on the
traffic) from the airport. The regular rooms are actually 2 room suites with the
bathroom in the center, and they looked new and inviting on their website. The
price of $139/night for a king suite was acceptable, so I booked it thriugh
Allure Hotels. On the night we arrived we were driving through the dark and the
rain, and took a wrong turn--should have gone just a little farther, but we
found quickly our way which was just seconds off the highway.
This hotel is a 'keeper' and we loved our stay! I just wish we could have been
there longer. The bed was so very comfortable, the rooms were very clean, the
special in-room coffee was delicious, and the hotel (though many were staying
there) was totally quiet. For the convenience of those who want to eat in, there
are also a few (real) dishes and a microwave. The shower was exceptionally
soothing, and alongside the bathroom sink were very large pump bottles of the
nicest hand soap and hand cream I've ever had (and we have stayed in some
fabulous hotels in Canada and the US). Although we slept later than expected --
such a relaxing atmosphere -- we had to leave without breakfast because there
were ferry problems that day and we wanted to get in the line-up asap. But
again, it was only a few minutes to the terminal, with no crazy traffic or
frantic reading of roadmaps during morning rush hour.
As I said, I would have loved to have spent at least another couple of hours
there, had breakfast, and perhaps taken in the shopping on this interesting
looking street, but alas it was not to be. If you're looking for a comfortable
place to rest overnight before heading over to Vancouver island on the
Tsawwassen ferries, this is definitely THE place for you to stay! Being an all
suite hotel, you can bring your children and they can sleep in the living room
(pull out couch) with their own TV. I just can't say enough good things about
the Coast Tsawwassen Inn! |

I would never have found this hotel without this site. I arrived at Vancouver
pretty jet-lagged, with an early morning ferry to Galiano the next morning. It
was a reasonably priced cab ride from the airport, and a free shuttle bus to the
ferry terminal the next morning. Huge room , well equipped. Rather 50s feeling
to the staff and restaurant - but that wasn't bad! Kind of old fashioned
courtesy. Looked like lots of locals in the restaurant. Decent enough meal. What
I really liked was being able to walk down the road pretty much opposite the
hotel and come to the shoreline - I was there before dawn (jet lag) and it was
great to watch the shore birds as the sun rose. Apparently there is a really
good beach in walking distance too. Very helpful, very comfortable - wished I
had stayed there my last night in BC too. |
