Spent one night at the Econo Lodge Surrey in early March because of it's low
price. Check in took a little longer than it should have, but young lady at the
desk was polite. Hotel lobby was pleasant. Room was cozy and clean. Internet
speed was slow at first but got better the next morning. Happy with my stay at
this place.

There are no words to describe our experience at the Econo Lodge Surrey. It
appears to look like mushrooms growing in the window, mould and water stains
that were hidden behind a closed curtain. I did check the room before I said I
would take it and I neglected to check behind the closed curtain until after I
paid for the room. The toilet had Feecies in it and when we wiped down the
toilet to use it, now afraid to sit on it because it was obviously not cleaned,
the paper towel was covered in a yellow substance. We took that to be urine. I
can not believe that a hotel would let there hotel run down to that horrible
condition and then charge someone to stay there. Check my photos that I am
uploading and note the crib next to the window with the foreign object growing
in it and all the mould, for a baby to sleep in, What a disgrace!

We were not familiar with the area , and concerned it might be unacceptable, but
it ended up being clean and comfortable and quiet - we only needed a room for
one night and it was great. Too many male staff/friends/family(?) in the small
lobby however- slow-going and uncomfortable in that sense.

The hotel itself was a good value for the price, and it wasn't too far away from
anything. The staff was a little short with me, for no apparent reason, but I
didn't have to deal with them often. Avoid too many interactions with them if
possible, and your stay will be fine.

Stayed here while touring the area, and the price was great! We had the peaked
room you see in the photos. It was large with kitchenette. Something like $80 a
night. Cant beat that!
Strangest thing? The first four parking spots are taken up, reserved for staff.
HUH? Add the (deserved) handicapped spots, and pretty soon it is a hike to get
to the lobby. Small wonder there is no one using the restaurant.
Front desk staff? They just ignored us the entire time, which is OK by me.
Nothing else in the area.

Most say that the hotel was a little noisy due to the traffic. It was not loud
at all. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was tidy, bathroom was
nice. Hotel staff was exceptional. For the price your paying, your really
getting a real bang for you buck. I would recommend this hotel. In a very nice
area of town, close to the highway.
