We stayed as a team for a skating competition at the Surrey Arena. The location
was perfect - only 5 minutes from the arena with lots of restaurant and shopping
options nearby. Despite being right on King George I never experienced any
traffic noise. The interior walls seem to be a bit on the thin side, though, as
we were able to hear most conversations from the hallway or next room.
They are in the process of doing minor updates/renovations to some of the rooms,
which is great. Unfortunately our room had just had some painting done and the
paint fumes were overpowering when we walked in. It wasn't mentioned to us at
check in, although there were a couple of 'wet paint' signs in the room. I left
the window open while we went out for dinner and it was tolerable when we
returned. With all our team staying on the same floor we didn't really want to
move to another room and be away from there.
Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful, the continental breakfast is
decent, the pool is small but clean. Overall, a great place to stay for the
price. This is our second year at this hotel for this competition and I'm sure
we'll be back again next year.

We needed a place to stay in the Vancouver/Surrey area of BC for a family
member's memorial. I have had issues with lodgings in the Surrey area before.
(Hard to find and not up to my expectations.) Having stayed at the Best Western
Peppertree inn Spokane a few weeks previously and being quite impressed I chose
this Hotel and also recommended it to other family members. I was not
disappointed. The staff was very welcoming, the Hotel was clean and quiet and
the cost was not outrageous. The front desk clerk Abdul was aware of our
situation and his friendly manner and concern really helped make us feel good
about our choice. I will definitely stay here again when in the Vancouver area
as it is quite conveniently located close to White Rock and Crescent Beach, the
US Border and the freeway into downtown Vancouver. The Hotel also has an indoor
pool and a spa. A breakfast is supplied with your room and it was OK mind you
NOT as extensive as the one as the Best Western Peppertree in Spokane. To access
the Hotel make sure you are heading south on the King George Highway as there in
no access from the north side of the highway.
If you need a clean comfortable, reasonably priced Hotel to stay in while you
are in the Vancouver/Surrey area I am happy to recommend this property

My husband and I stayed here on a quick overnighter before heading to the US.
The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable and wifi was included. The
fellows at the front desk were very friendly. There is shopping and many
restaurants very close by. They provide a continental breakfast in the morning.
I would stay here again.

There are bed bugs at this hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. Ick.
After two rooms were inspected with bed bugs in both rooms, the decision was
made not to try anymore rooms. who knows, maybe some are so far ok, but with two
having bed bugs, I wouldn't hold my breath... |
