Hotel Review of the Holiday Inn Express Suites Surrey

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. However, in using my debit card to
process a "deposit," they neglected to tell me that I would need to physically
check out in the morning, presenting my debit card in order to process the
"refund." When I spoke with the manager about this a week later, she was very
condescending (especially after finding out I was American). Apparently they
have an absentee owner as well, so my recourse is to bring my debit card back
into the hotel (good thing I don't live in Toronto), or wait at the minimum a
month for a check. How is this legal to keep a customer's deposit money? Will
not patronize this business again.

Looking for a good value within easy travelling distance to Downtown Vancouver?
Holiday Inn Express in Surrey fits the bill.... Easy commute to Vancouver by
SkyTrain just minutes away from the hotel,or an easy drive to catch a ferry to
Victoria HIE Surry has it all. Nice breakfast in the morning, a very friendly
and helpful staff, nearby local shopping but just out of the hustle and bustle
of the big city. Rooms are large and comfortable - value pretty good considering
the area.

Stayed one night during visit to Vancouver. A little away from Vancouver, but
worth the savings in terms accommodation and parking. Daljit at hotel reception
was very friendly and knowledgeable about alternates routes to Vancouver, after
finding out nearby highway was jammed with traffic. Maid chased me down to
return clothing left behind after check out. Buffet breakfast was good, with
some fresh fruits.

I often stay here on business trips to Surrey. Rooms are large and cean and
staff are friendly, Immediately opposite a bus stop into Central City/Sky train
(about 3 miles away). A short walk takes you to many good restaurants located at
Guildford on 156th. Although the area from the Hotel to Guildford is fine, just
be careful about walking further into Surrey up 104th from Guildford to Central
City as there are some dubious characters around after dark.

This hotel has spacious, clean rooms. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is
located a few hundred meters from highway 1, about 25 minutes from the centre of
Vancouver by car. The holiday inn express concept offers you everything you need
as a family. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.
