Calling Flea Market Fanatics
One man’s junk is another man's treasure. Nowhere is this saying more apt than
at the Vancouver Flea Market on Terminal Avenue, just off Main Street. Imagine a
colossal garage sale under one roof. Here, energetic sellers hawk their wares
while avid buyers scour the stalls for deals, bargain buys and one-of-a-kind
finds. The merchandise is eclectic. The 350 tables display second-hand treasures
from furniture to cutlery, vases to handicrafts, household items, decorative
art, linens, clothing, toys and books.
A Yard Sale, Only Bigger and Better
Opened in 1983, the Vancouver Flea Market is the largest covered market in the
Lower Mainland, so the bargain hunting goes on rain or shine. Imagine a colossal
yard sale, only bigger, better, sheltered, and all under one roof. It's only a
few minutes outside downtown Vancouver too, about a five-minute walk away from
the nearest Skytrain station. On the weekends, it attracts thousands of bargain
hunters and vintage lovers. Dealers, sellers and buyers wheel and deal with
gusto. Inside the big red barn, you can browse for unusual gifts, unearth
treasure, and revel in kitsch. The Flea Market also holds regular antique and
collectable shows.

comfortable foot wear. Admission fee in effect (it’s spare change). Children
