Open to the public, the Richmond Museum houses collections, temporary and
travelling exhibits, programs and special events for all ages. The purpose of
these activities is to increase public awareness and appreciation of Richmond's
diverse history.

The Richmond Museum strives to develop and maintain a community museum that
collects, documents, researches, preserves, exhibits and interprets objects of
historical and cultural significance to the development and history of Richmond.
