Our top priorities in a hotel for this trip were met: it’s close to the casino
(has a shuttle service as well), has a swimming pool, is inexpensive, and most
importantly—our puppy dog was welcome too. We found the room to be clean,
spacious, and comfortable. The room actually seemed more warm and inviting than
the photography in the Travelodge hotel’s website would indicate. There are
several restaurants in close proximity but it also has a casual breakfast spot
just steps away from the lobby.Guest Reviews of the Travelodge Hotel Vancouver Airport

We stayed at this hotel on our way back from Mexico. Our plane landed in
Vancouver at 1:40am and we just stayed there to close our eyes for a few hours
before heading home (another 3 hour ferry trip/drive). We were only in the hotel
for about 8 hours total.
The rooms were very small but adequate. The bathroom looked like it had been
updated somewhat, with the exception of the actual sink and tub faucets, which
were definitely original. There was an iron, ironing board, small fridge, desk,
chair and coffee table in the room, along with a decent size TV. I think the
hotel is rated on Hotwire as a 2 star, but I think 2 stars might be pushing it a
little.
The positive sides of this hotel are that there is a shuttle running between the
airport and the hotel (though that service stops at midnight), parking is free,
there is 24 hour check in (the front desk was very helpful and we got a late
check out with no problem), and there is a restaurant attached to the hotel.
This is also near many fast food and chain restaurants so getting a bite to eat
is convenient.
I would probably book this hotel again for a SHORT stay, especially if I could
get a deal like the one I got this time. I would NOT recommend this hotel for
anyone who is staying more than one or two nights, or anyone who is used to
higher-end hotels (i.e. Delta Suites).
If I had to pay regular prices, I would likely stay at the Accent Inn instead. I
think for a comparable price you get a better room and facilities. However, if
you can get a Hotwire deal, this is the way to go for a short stay.

Stayed at this hotel one night as needed to be close to the airport. Front Desk
staff were friendly and efficient and check in was not long, maybe 1-2 minutes
which is always a plus for me.
The room was clean and everything worked fine. Room service was efficient and
the food not bad.
Swimming pool was a little on the cool side, but was clean and a nice addition
to have at the hotel.
Its an older hotel but for the price is not a bad value, its not 5 stars but for
the rate charged is a good value for those in need of being close to the
airport. |

My flight had hydraulic problems so in turn all 30 or so
passengers were sent to the Richmond Travelodge. Check in was
quick and friendly. The hallways show some wear. The room was a
good size.
Again a bit of wear. it is a solid building. Very sound proof. I
would stay there again. I checked out at about 6:00am and the
morning staff was professional and friendly. |

Shuttle arriving on time. No mess in check-in. I get what an airport hotel for
transit can offer, and comparing with other Travelodge I have been in the
States, Toronto and LONDON, I would not hesitate to rank this one top five in my
list. The bedroom is nicely presented: no gimmicks, no flamboyance. You get all
the necessary urban convenience of an airport hotel. Spacious bathroom with jet
splashing shower experience. Toiletries surpasses the standard of a three star
hotel. The armchair in my room is a plus to me, since I have stayed in many a
compact room in other trips with only a small canal for passing my body between
bed and wall. For enhancement, may I suggest to provide tootbrush and paste,
relocate the ice vendor machines (going to the lobby to collect ice deters
intentions), and provide deli food or simple microwavable meals for those
arriving after 11 p.m. , of course, chargeable. Or install meal vendor machines
in the lobby as an added value to those who pay and stay. |

Got in late from SLC. Staff was very helpful in arranging transportation to the
airport the next morning. The hotel was perfectly suitable for what we needed -
a last-minute stay overnight when unexpectedly stuck. Free parking was
appreciated, and the front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. FYI. Hotel rooms
and hallways fairly typical of Travelodge - nothing special, just a clean-ish,
safe place to sleep. |

This was just an overnight stay close to the airport so we could get to the
airport early in the morning easily. Shuttle service was excellent to/from
airport. The room was clean and normally quiet. There must have been a birds
nest outside the bathroom vent since one could hear birds chirping constantly.
We closed the bathrrom door while sleeping. |

I have stayed at this specific Travelodge many times and have recommended it to
people that were flying to Richmond, with the company I worked for.
I worked 11 years, for Baxter Aviation, now known as West Coast Air.
There were a lot of recommendations to customers plus numerous times that I was
flying from Richmond that this hotel was used for accommodations. I was always
given excellent rooms, good service, liked the convenience of the shuttle
service and the restaurant right in the building. Previously, I would not have
had a problem recommending this hotel to anyone.
I stayed at this Travelodge again. I specifically looked for this hotel to book
because the rooms and service had been so good. I was taking my Mom to the
airport the next day, plus we were celebrating my birthday which we don't get to
do together very often as she lives in Ontario. We checked into the hotel and I
couldn't believe the condition of the room they gave us. It was disgusting to
tell the truth, black around the bathroom tiles from mold, bedspreads looked
like they were ready to fall apart. And, to think I had been bragging to my Mom
about what a great hotel I was taking her to! I know from previous experiences,
that there are a lot nicer rooms in that hotel. I think they may have given us
this room because we booked on line with hotels.ca. I wanted to let you know
that I was really surprised about the condition of the room, and upset that we
had been given a room like that when I know there are better in the hotel. I
definitely won't be sending people to this hotel to stay. I really hope the
other people that I sent there were not given rooms like my Mom and I were
given. |

Stayed in a room on the Executive Floor as we were upgraded by
the kind lady at the front desk. She was quite busy and found
time to address our requests of directions to the Night Market.
She also delivered our luggage to the room as I am handicapped
with a walker. I will stay again at this Hotel |

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, at the end of July. Nice
room, clean, quiet. The restaurant was fine and the food was
good. The best part was the staff. People at the front desk were
kind and supportive, and the lady at the sales office was so
nice to offer me to borrow her computer, as the Internet kiosk
was busy. Great service. |

When you hear the name “Travelodge,” you may think of a
decrepit-looking place on the fringe of a questionable
neighborhood. This hotel really should be “re-badged” as it is
quite nice and is geared toward middle to upper-middle class
pleasure travelers. The rooms are tidy and in good shape, and
the desk service is extremely attentive. In fact, the people
working at the front desk went out of their way to help me with
business faxes, a Fedex and internet access -- even trying to
give me their own money for a coin-operated internet-access
computer in the lobby when I ran out of Canadian dollars. An
excellent value. If you are new to Vancouver, you should get a
map and directions, however, as the traffic engineering is awful
and the roads into the city are confusing. |

We arrived courtesy Air Canada just after 10:00 pm on a Sunday
night at the start of BC Spring Break when airlines were
frenzied. The restaurant closes at 10:00 pm and unfortunately,
despite the desk clerk asking whether they would stay open, the
restaurant manager decided to close it even though there were
several travelers sent to the hotel for the night because they
had missed their flights.
We went to an excellent restaurant at the Sandman hotel next
door, which is open later.
The room was clean and comfortable. It had an electric heater
with fan built into the window wall, like you get in an
apartment - it was OK and not too noisy. We slept very well.
I swam in the pool, which was spotlessly clean - after I got in
the maintenance man came with towels. He was testing the
chlorine and going to add chemicals at the pool equipment, not
directly into the pool. He knows how to take care of a pool.
The breakfast was good value and standard fare - pancakes,
omelettes, served for a late breakfast.
The shuttle only goes every half hour to and from the airport -
it is free. We just missed one getting there so had to wait.
For an unscheduled stay the hotel was fine and we had a good
rest. It's not fancy, but adequate.
We were desperate for Internet access when we arrived to
reschedule our flights - so the desk clerk gave us the code for
the WiFi that normally costs $5. There is a computer in the
lobby with free wired Internet access that anyone can use - but
only one. |

We needed to stay at a hotel near the Vancouver Airport for an
overnight before an early morning flight for one of our family
members. We specifically booked this hotel because it has an
indoor pool and hot tub. There should be a big sign near where
you wait at the airport with the shuttle timetable, as there is
in the hotel. Going from the airport to the hotel, the shuttle
went round the town of Richmond, coming back was much quicker.
The shuttle driver was very helpful with baggage. |
