NICE clean room. Continental breakfast was more than we expected. Hotel
served hot food-bacon, eggs. Added security was nice( elevator access
for hotel guests only). Conveniently located near restaurants, etc.

Staff that was very helpful and getting us tooth paste and body wash.
Clean, very comfortable, excellent Eggs, Bacon, and all the usual
breakfast favorites, close to airport, I'd stay again anytime!

Great hotel. I appreciated the helpfulness of the front desk and the
great breakfast. If breakfast food was out, a request replenished it
immediately. Unfortunately, there were only a few small drawers for
clothes, and little room for 4 people to even store their suitcases. We
just lived out of them and lined them up near the doorway. Good security
in hotel & parking lot, too. Also, very quiet, though very near the
airport!

Nice location, close to the airport & BC Ferries. Friendly help desk &
great continental breakfast. I asked to stay on the upper level and I
was given to stay on the top level (8th floor). Room is clean &
comfortable

This hotel is fantastic! When we booked on internet, I asked for top
floor with view and they accommodated this request. The price was
reasonable and the breakfasts adequate in a nice room with tv and plenty
room despite hotel being busy.
I love the parking arrangements - you can drive in through a secure gate
and park underground very close to elevator that will take you to your
room - it was very convenient for unloading and loading and there are
trolleys there to help wheel luggage right into elevator and to your
room.
The views are open to the west north west and although near
airport, noise is not a factor - the room was sufficiently soundproof.
Room was also modern and very clean with all that is listed in this
class of hotel.
My only complaint would be that the surrounding road system is a bit
confusing if you are driving - although close to main connectors in and
around the city, it takes bit of getting used to due to its location -
however, it is very convenient to everything and will be close to the
new train connection once built - I have stayed here twice now and have
no complaints - staff also very helpful and friendly. close to airport
and an ideal hub for visits in and around Vancouver

We spent two nights rather than the planned one at this hotel after our
trip to Whistler was cancelled due to the rockslide. While it is purely
an airport hotel, (no on-site restaurant, no amenities close by, no
pool, etc.) we would recommend it based on the excellent and helpful
front - desk staff. They assisted with boarding passes, arranging our
extra night's stay, etc. and were very helpful. The continental
breakfast was a nice touch.

The only negative: this hotel doesn't have a very good view of anything
more than parking lots.
The big positive: the service at this hotel is fantastic! We stayed here
the night before getting on a cruise ship (so who cares about the
view?). The hotel makes it easy to get a shuttle to the cruise (included
in room price for up to two people!) as well as from the airport to the
hotel (also free).
They were perfectly willing to help out with printing boarding passes
for our cruise. There is also a Costco store right next door and the
hotel has cards people can use for last minute cruising supplies.
When we had a medical emergency, the front desk staff made it so easy to
find a taxi and a clinic nearby. Their attitude was always "yes", even
for some tricky requests. They also offered good advice about things to
do downtown (which isn't nearby, but an easy bus or taxi ride away). In
one night's stay, we felt a close connection to the staff.
If you stay here, try dinner at the Best Western across the street. It's
surprisingly good!
The rooms were big and updated, too.

My wife and I needed an affordable place to stay enroute through
Vancouver. Area cancellation policies make it risky to reserve rooms, so
we waited until clearing the airport to select a hotel. We have always
have good value at other HI Expresses & this did not disappoint. Room
was clean and location is very quiet. Hotel staff were EXCEPTIONALLY
customer service oriented, e.g. following check-in, the clerk
immediately assisted us with our boarding passes for the next day as
well as arranging for us to have a late checkout. After check-out,
another front desk agent went out of her way to assist us in storing
luggage while we stretched our legs and went for lunch at a mall down
the road. No restaurant is on site, but a pub across the street was a
good choice for a late meal and several other choices are a short walk
away. Continental breakfast was included and offers a wide range of
selections. The kitchen staff constantly kept the food available to a
busy clientele. We would readily stay here again.

Originally chose this hotel because of the Park and Fly package - one
night stay gives you 7 days of parking, additional days at $5/day, free
airport shuttle. The parking area is behind a locked chainlink fence and
was secure (hotel staff open and close it). If you're flying out of YVR
and have to overnight it's not a bad deal.
I booked on-line by clicking on the Park and Fly package icon (assuming
that would give me the Park and Fly rate). Upon arrival I was informed
that the rate I booked was the regular AAA rate, the Park and Fly
package was actually ended up being $40 more than I expected - $177
compared to $135 ($15 of that was the additional 3 days of parking).
The room was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. We had requested a
crib and it was provided. The continental breakfast the following
morning was pretty basic - Cosco muffins (Cosco located across the
street so they were probably fresh), microwaved "omletes" with Cheese
Whiz filling (boxes were being dropped off as we ate so these too were
probably "fresh"), cereal, fresh fruit, etc. |
