Guest Reviews of the Ramada Limited Vancouver Airport

We were here for 12 hours for an airport stopover. The best
thing was the free airport shuttle, which arrived quickly when
we phone from the airport and was punctual in the morning too.
The worst thing was the poor level of service from the reception
staff. Two young girls plastered in make-up and not welcoming at
all, in contrast to the big welcome we received at all other
hotels in North America. They recommended a place to eat, but
when we got there we found that it only served meals at
lunchtime. They should have known this. Rooms were clean and
beds comfortable, but nothing special. Overall, disappointing
but adequate for an airport stopover.

We stayed at the Ramada Limited Richmond for one night in June
2008. The hotel offered shuttle service from the airport after
we called from the airport arrivals area at the kiosk. Check in
and check out were fine. Room and hallways were like a maze, but
the rooms were clean and the bed was fine. Across the street
there is an Irish Pub and down the street a nice Greek
restaurant. Did not need to park a car, but did not see a
parking facility. Overall, the only reason to stay here is if
you have business in the area, or need a place near the airport.
A good reasonably priced place.

I was looking for the cheapest, most convenient hotel for an
overnight layover at YVR, and this property fit the bill nicely.
Although the property is a very average business class hotel,
and comes complete with standard-box average bed, average
furnishings, and very average hotel amenities, the bathroom was
larger than average and comes complete with telephone for those
who must conduct their business...while conducting their
business. The hotel is located in a better-than-average area for
travellers, as there's numerous restaurants, shops, and malls
within a very short walking distance.
The hotel advertises a complimentary shuttle service, and this
worked fine on the trip into the hotel, but getting back to the
hotel was more of a problem; we were told that the shuttle only
ran once an hour(!) and that it only ran from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00
p.m. (!)
If this is true, and not just an excuse made by a lazy employee,
then I feel that this limitation should be highlighted on its
ads on expedia...it's very inconvenient for travellers.

I stayed at this hotel one night while in transit. It's location
is really great, very close to the airport and Richmond City
Centre. I was a little but affraid of the hotel because it is a
small one and did not looked to inviting. However I was
surprised with the quality of the room (spotless) and nice perks
like free wireless internet, newspaper and free breakfast. Some
of the common areas look a little bit ragged but nothing I've
not seen in other hotels.
