Stayed in this hotel on 3 separate occasions in early
December 2009. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed in
room 201 and 401. Room 201 was a bit older with an older
TV while 201 has a new flat screen. Both rooms
overlooked the street but no road noise. There were two
beds in these rooms which we required for the family,
however it made getting to the mini fridge had to get
to. Room and bathroom was clean.
Beware of what the current room rate is. I had booked
our first night back in October, but when we just
checked in later in the month the rate was almost $15.00
cheaper. Doesn't always pay to book ahead in the quite
periods.
Breakfast was good and included scrambled eggs on
weekdays.Guest Reviews of the Ramada Inn Vancouver Airport

We have stayed at this property before and are booked to
stay again soon. The hotel is very clean, comfortable,
and affordable. The free breakfast is extensive and the
service is very good. The property is close to a major
shopping centre, theatres , restaurants, and a beautiful
park. The ability to "park there and fly" is also a big
plus. I expect that we will stay there several times a
year when on our way to various destinations

Having spent 5 hours on a greyhound bus prior to
arriving at the hotel I was ready for a bit of comfort!!
And the Ramada Airport delivered! I booked a king room
with a jetted tub which was just the thing to relax
after the bus and before a trans-Atlantic flight. The
staff were smiling and helpful, breakfast was standard
but good and the mall is only a 5 minute walk away as
are restaurants for lunch or dinner. My room faced the
back and overlooked the park and there was a small
balcony on which to sit, read and relax. I would
recommend staying here wholeheartedly!

Great place to stay when visiting Richmond. Pretty view
of park, and very quiet, if you have a room at the back
of the hotel.

We booked this hotel on line for 3 days; we were looking
for a "best value" and we got it. We had free parking
for our rental car, breakfast included, plus free
Internet services AND there is a wonderful park in the
back of the hotel where we strolled in the evenings.
Can't beat this for the price we paid. All the staff
were very friendly and helpful, and we found the people
in Vancouver to be very friendly. I would definitely
recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice
no-frills place to stay.

A good location if you need to be close to the airport.
Clean & comfortable with a complimentary breakfast. Also
a shuttle service to the airport. Good Irish Pub across
the road for drinks & meal.
We stayed here for one night and had a room on 1st
floor, backside of the hotel. It was actually made for
people with disabilities. The room + bathroom was clean,
but nothing special. The vending machine on the floor
was frequently used, which was always noisy. You will
also hear the elevator! The worst part was the door,
which was not exactly compatible to the door case, so
that there was always a chasm.
Breakfast was the typical Ramada standard, nothing
great. Just get sure you're there in time and not just
15min before breakfast time ends, because they will
start to clean up than!
All in all, it was okay. Good value, but if you're
looking for a really nice accommodation, go to the
Quality Inn next door! We stayed there the night before
and paid only 10$ more! |

The breakfast was better than most continental, included
scrambled eggs, croissants, and fresh fruit. There are
not many options for eating around the hotel except for
the Greek restaurant and the pub across the street. Good
location, included free shuttle to and from the airport
(on a request basis). The room is on the main floor
close to the front desk and is intended for disabled
persons. It was quite cold when I arrived and took some
time to warm up. The front desk reception wasn't overly
friendly either. Overall, room was clean and
comfortable, and the location and breakfast were
convenient and provided good value for the money. |

The lake in the back of the hotel is nice. The room and
bed is small than a average hotel. The quality of our
room was below average. Small room, small bed. But the
good thing is that this hotel is next to a lake and
close to shopping area of Richmond. This is a nice hotel
if not counting the small room. |

I stayed two nights at the Ramada Limited Vancouver
Airport while in Richmond on business. PROS: My room was
clean and only showed only a tiny bit of wear. The king
bed was firm enough and had 6 pillows of various
thicknesses allowing me to pick a comfortable one. I
heard hardly any noise from adjacent rooms. The A/C unit
was fairly quiet and kept my 3rd floor room cool. The
continental breakfast was good, and it included
scrambled eggs one morning and waffles the next. The
park behind the hotel does make for a pleasant evening
walk as has been mentioned. CONS: Parking is underground
beneath the hotel. My first night, the garage only
filled about half full and I got a spot right by the
elevator. But on my second night, when I returned about
7:30 pm, it was much more full -- I got like the 2nd to
last spot. I worry that lack of parking spaces could be
an issue some nights. Also, there is not much
entertainment at the hotel. The 40-or-so TV channels are
basic with no movie channels. The hotel has a small
fitness room but no pool. There's a computer in the
lobby for internet access, but it's not privately
located. People waiting at the front desk & standing at
the pamphlet rack were casually reading my email over my
shoulder. I never could get the phone system to accept a
wakeup call program per the instructions in my room, but
the front desk staff happily set it for me each evening.
SUMMARY: For me, the pros outweigh the cons, and since
the price and location were good, I'll stay here again
when I return to Vancouver/Richmond in a few weeks. |

The staff at the hotel were very helpful and welcoming.
The room was clean and comfortable. The location felt
very safe. The best part was the lovely park and gardens
behind the hotel--it was fantastic.
Great park with beautiful ponds, wildlife, gardens,
ballpark, and playground behind the hotel. While there
is no pool, these outdoor features would make this a
great location for a family to stay. The breakfast that
was provided was a little high on the carbs, but my
teenage boys loved it. |

Stayed here for a layover only one night, but the hotel
was clean, the room was ready and was spotless, the bed
was comfortable, and it was just an overall great
experience. This hotel has a free shuttle bus to
Vancouver Airport as well, it runs every hour on the
hour. Staff was polite and they even serve a free tasty
continental breakfast. Location is good, too. There is a
shopping mall about 10 minutes from the hotel and decent
food options in the surrounding area. Would stay there
again without hesitation... |

My husband & I stay at this hotel often on our way
through Vancouver as it is near the airport and offers
free airport shuttle service (as do all the other
airport hotels). We like this property as it is very
reasonably priced and well-located. It's clean and
comfortable and the free continental breakfast is very
nice. There's a computer with internet access in the
lobby, free of charge. The property is a block away from
Richmond Mall, close to many restaurants, and also close
to a bus stop with express buses into Vancouver. Though
we seldom travel into downtown Vancouver, it's a simple
and quick way into the city and once there, one doesn't
have to worry about the high cost of parking. |

Just heels away from the Richmond airport, the Ramada
Inn is on a budget boutique hotel and a stone's throw
away from Richmond Centre. It is super small and fills
up very quickly given it's lack of rooms. I had booked a
couple of rooms during my stay here and they were no
more flattering than any regular motel and thankfully
were about the same price.
The hotel service folks were super moody throughout our
stay and English was not something they felt
particularly comfortable speaking. Their version of a
"continental breakfast" that was an AYCE setup was
really just a conference room stacked with pastries,
donuts, and orange juice.
Parking is also an issue. The spaces are around the back
of the hotel and can maybe fit a good 8-10 cars at best.
Pinching pennies would be the only reason I would
consider coming back here again. But until the US
economy completely tanks, I'll consider the other hotels
in the area. |
