The Quality Inn backs on a quiet and beautiful park; to make the most of your
experience, book a room on the back side, away from the noise of Westminster
Highway and the excellent Foggy Dew pub across the street. Top floor, middle,
back is the quietest, best option.
Rooms are small but comfortable, but the lone elevator makes every entry and
exit very time consuming. There's parking included, in a garage with tiny,
cramped spaces, or on the laneway behind the hotel.
The Quality Inn free breakfast was adequate, but uncaringly presented. We stayed
two nights, and both mornings, there were no bowls. The same cereal (and jug of
milk?) sat unused because cheerios don't work well on a plate! They also wash
and reuse their plastic utensils. How tacky is that?
The area around has many good ethnic restaurants, most Asian, but including
Greek and other cuisines. The Richmond mall is a block away, and has everything
you need. There are many small shops nearby as well.
This is a perfectly acceptable hotel that could improve to match its location
with a few minor improvements.

Really really clean hotel. Rooms had plenty of space. Just a couple comments,
one is parking there really is a limited amount of underground parking which is
very tight I would recommend a small car. The other is it does sit on a fairly
busy road that can get noisy. So if your a light sleeper get a room that faces
away from the main road.

We selected this hotel for its convenience and pricing for a four day stay prior
to joining our cruise ship on 24 September, 2011. We originally intended to
spend two nights but we opted to arrive earlier due to a threatened Air Canada
strike.
We arrived at Vancouver airport at about 9:00 AM and called the hotel for a
shuttle pick up. Although I had been told prior to the trip that the shuttle
operated on an as called basis when I called I was told that the shuttle would
not arrive until 10:10. I was also informed that we were very early. Posted
check-in is 3:00PM. The shuttle arrived on time and after a short drive we were
greeted by Mr. Vijaay Kanna the day manager. He efficiently handled our check-in
(a room was available) but unfortunately it was on the noisy street side of the
hotel. We were required to pay for the full stay on check-in. Requests for
additional minor items were handled promptly and efficiently by Suki, the do
everything man.
The room was a king size non-smoking one on the third floor. A mini fridge,
coffee machine, iron and board are included. Although there is no in room safe
there are safety deposit boxes available at the office at no charge. The room,
although basic was comfortable. The HVAC system seems to be very new. Although a
through the wall style it is almost noiseless. The room and corridor carpets
could use a cleaning. After our first night, Maru, our housekeeper, noticing a
bottle of wine, left us two proper wine glasses. Knowing we were staying several
days she also gave us a larger than normal issue of all supplies. On our second
morning we went to breakfast about 8:00AM. On return at 8:45 our room was made
up. What a treat as it was a rainy day and we were likely to be room bound for a
while. A nice feature of the hotel is that actual glassware and china is
available in the rooms and at breakfast.
The hotel is conveniently located to numerous restaurants, pubs, a large mall
and three blocks from the Canada line subway which will take us directly to the
port. We ate at Harold’s, in the nearby Sheraton and the Foggy Dew diagonally
across the street and enjoyed ourselves at both. On our last day we walked out
the back door and into Minoru Park. What an extraordinary place! Walking paths,
gorgeous flower beds including a waterfall, ponds, ducks, squirrels, truly a
gem.
Overall a good stay in a moderately priced hotel. Great, friendly staff in a
very convenient location.

This hotel is a little further (3km) from the airport then most of the airport
hotels but offers pretty good bang for your buck. Good sized, clean rooms. Free
underground parking and airport shuttle. Friendly staff and a good breakfast to
start the day make this a terrific value. Additionally, this hotel is located in
a nice neighborhood with good restaurant/cafe selection (The Mad Greek next door
is worth a try) and a shopping mall within walking distance. It is also
conveniently located near the No 3 road "chinatown" which is a short drive
away-this increases your dining and shopping choices exponentially. No pool or
hot tub are a bit of a drawback but this is my airport hotel of choice when in
the area and is also my multi night stay hotel of choice when I am in Richmond.
This scores ahead of this chain's Comfort Inn Airport on all fronts except
location and is cheaper than the CI to boot.
