It was a very good value for the price we paid. It's a budget hotel, and has the
decor, comfort, and services of a budget hotel, so make your decision based on
whether you are getting a budget price. It's not the Four Seasons, but doesn't
pretend to be, or charge like, the Four Seasons. Clean, bright rooms, decent, if
modest, breakfast, free parking (limited amount of parking but we were able to
find a space when we checked in about noon, and when we came back at about 8 we
noticed empty spaces). We didn't take the car out after checking in; instead we
took the Canada Line. It's a bit of a
walk to the Canada Line station, so take that into account when deciding where
to stay. The Radisson is more convenient to the Canada Line station but
typically costs more, and the casino hotel is also more convenient to the Canada
Line station but also costs more.
When we got up in the morning, we found out there was no hot water, called down
and they said their hot water wasn't working and they had called for repairs.
Plenty of hot water the previous night I don't count that in the rating, that's
a one-off and could happen to anyone. You have to figure, too, that if you stay
there now the hot water is less likely than average to break, not more likely,
because it's been recently inspected and fixed. Anyway, I figured out how to
take a shower. You get in the shower and start the water, and then:
You put your left arm in.
You take your left arm out.
You put your left arm in.
And you shake it all about.
You do the Hokey-Pokey and you turn yourself around.
And that's what it's all about.
Just keep doing that until you're clean.

Stayed overnight at this hotel whilst seeing my children off on at the airport.
The hotel is tucked away in a reasonably well located location close to a
multitude of eating and shopping opportunities. The lobby is well laid out and
the service was professional and quick. The elevator was a little slow so I
found it easier and quicker to take the stairs.
I was impressed with the room, whilst albeit nothing flash it was clean and had
everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large. The
planes never bothered me and I enjoyed my stay.
The free breakfast had both hot and cold items and fantastic muffins
This hotel suited all of my needs admirably and I would have no hesitation at
all in recommending it, especially at the low price.

The good: reasonable rate, free internet (wired and wifi), better than average
continental breakfast, close to the airport, many restaurants nearby, clean
room, free parking, Jacuzzi, pool, odor free, nice open foyer.
The not so good: internet was very slow, breakfast bar was slow on refilling
trays (sausage and eggs in particular), parking is limited, Jacuzzi and pool are
tiny.

We stayed here for one night & I would not recommend it. Upon arrival, the
staffs never greeted us & were unfriendly, inattentive and slow. The air
conditioning/heater was also very noisy through the night keeping my husband up.
There is also no bath robes available.
The dining room, where buffet breakfast served, is quite small & the variety is
very limited. When we went for breakfast at 8.15am, the sausages were finished
but no replenishment.

Close to airport (shuttle) and great Asian shopping in Richmond.
Good continental breakfast. Clean, tidy rooms.

This is a nicely appointed La Quinta facility, in a good location for walking to
restaurants and shuttling to the Vancouver Airport. I will not stay there again,
however, after what happened . I arrived a little before 10:00 at night and was
informed that my "guaranteed" room had been given away. This despite the fact
that I had called them from the airport at 9:40 pm to request shuttle service. I
was told "the shuttle stopped running at 9:30; please come here by taxi." So
either they gave my room away in the 15 minutes it took to get there, or they
had already given my room away and cared nothing about the cost of a taxi and
the inconvenience of traveling to their location. When I objected, and after
considerable waffling, they "solved" the problem by putting me in a rather
shabby hotel in an industrial area. |

Hi there! My husband and I were visiting from Jamaica and on our second
honeymoon. We booked into the hotel for only one night...not knowing what to
expect. However, to our delight, we ended up staying for an entire 11 days and
enjoyed every minute of it! The staff is to be highly commended and it is
true... all the amenities you get and excellent customer service, is worth what
you pay! We plan on making reservations for our Christmas and New year vacation.
Highly recommended! |

We arrived late one night and caught a flight out early the next morning so I
don't have much to say about the hotel. It is quite convenient to the airport
and they have a free airport shuttle. |

Modern, clean, windows opened for fresh air and free parking! I found it was
very clean, fresh, modern and bedding was upscale rather than the usual plastic
stuff. Bed was large and comfy. Room was quiet. Food was for the most part hot
and surprisingly good variety. |

Very impressed with the courteous staff and level of service. The room was very
clean and suited our needs well. The complimentary breakfast and airport shuttle
were most appreciated. Right in the heart of a wide variety of restaurants and
close to large shopping mall. I will definitely be returning! |

This is a very pet friendly hotel close to shopping and great Chinese
restaurants. They have to update their shuttle times on the website. Needed a
5:00 am departure and they changed it to 6:00 a.m. |

Very friendly and accommodating personnel, prompt shuttle service to airport. We
had asked for 8:00 am departure and since the van was not available at that time
hotel arranged for taxi shuttle free of charge. Absolutely perfect! Rooms clean
and quiet. You have to find a restaurant for yourself in the neighborhood
(mostly Chinese) |

We stayed here for 2 nights in August. After touring around BC, we came back for
3 more nights. We love Asian food and there are many many Asian restaurants,
grocery stores and bakeries. If you don't mind driving a bit to Vancouver, this
hotel is the place for you. |

Hotel was clean and comfortable and seemed fairly new. Stayed for 1 night after
flying in before going on a cruise. Shuttle from the airport was quick and
efficient. Breakfast was good, but later when my daughter went down, they were
out of many things and were not very quick in bringing out more. The "beef
sausage" tasted like a hamburger patty. But overall, it was good. Within a
couple of blocks, there is a large shopping mall and fast food (McDonalds and
Wendy’s, I think). The area has a large Asian population, and there are many
Asian restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The busy streets had crosswalks and
we felt safe walking around. There are some empty lots that are overgrown with
weeds, but otherwise the area seemed very nice. |

This Hotel is fantastic. It is close to the airport, shopping malls and the
casino. Everything you need is close by including incredible chinese and thai
food. Staff was absolutely great and very helpful. Pool is a little small but
the hot tub and workout room are great and the free breakfast is awesome, try
the do it yourself waffles |

I ended up staying 4 nights in the La Quinta and i can have no complaint. The
rooms were tidy, beds were comfy, staff were friendly and the breakfast in the
morning was tasty. why pay more when all u need is available here. If going to
the cruise terminal, check in to a taxi instead of the shuttle. For a family of
4, the taxi was less than $40(I think the shuttle was $30 each). The front desk
called the taxi for us, but for some reason they kept suggesting the shuttle. Be
firm about wanting a taxi, not the shuttle.

I chose this hotel to do a training session for our western sales reps. I chose
it based on the positive reviews, the fact that it was located close to the
airport, and that it had free wireless internet access, airport shuttle, and
free breakfast.
Location: not far from the airport, located in Richmond, a very Asian part of
Vancouver. Walk a couple of blocks and you will find many Asian restaurants, and
a host of services. The Landsdown mall is just up the road . Only breakfast is served in the hotel - you'll have fun with the waffle
maker - they taste better when you make them yourself. The breakfast runs from
6-9, not for those who sleep in. No restaurant or bar, but a short walk will
take you to one of the many Asian restaurants, or the Four Points Sheraton
restaurant, or Earls in the mall.
Room: Very clean, choice of king size bed or two double beds; bedding was very
comfortable; an empty fridge provided; hairdryer; iron; luggage support; desk
with lots of electrical plugs (great for all that charging and plugging needed -
camera, phone, laptop, DVD player). One thing to remember - this is an airport
hotel, so airplane noise was a factor, particularly my first night. However, I
realize the next morning that my window was open a crack, it was better, of
course, once it was fully closed. But light sleepers should bring plugs.
Amenities: Free Globe and Mail newspaper in the lobby each day; swimming pool
(small, nice for kids); hot tub; fitness area; an area with lots of vending
machines and in the pool area women's washroom, a machine which dispenses
feminine protection - ended up being a life saver once we realized there was no
gift shop downstairs; laundry room; a rooftop patio area; two computers
available with free internet access and a printer (great for web check-ins for
flights); free parking.
Cleanliness: This hotel is impeccable, even our fussiest colleagues were
impressed.
Overall impression: everyone in our session was very impressed with the hotel,
they thought it was quite a find. Only downside would be that the neighbourhood is not that
attractive - very stripmall-ish - and that it is not close to downtown
Vancouver. Everything else works. |

This hotel should be a four stars. Very friendly place, very clean and very
quiet. I slept very well better then home. They had a computer and printer
available and would take no money for it. I travel in many countries for my
import business and see many hotels. This one will stay on my best list for
Vancouver and good price also. If you need a break from your business and a good
sleep, that is the place. If you want to finish some work with computer and
printer available, also an advantage. I strongly recommend it. "Very impressed" |

We were attracted to La Quinta because of the low rate, but were extremely
pleased with the spacious, comfortable room. The amenities, size, condition and
cleanliness of the room are usually found in the more expensive chains. One of
my favorite things is the double sheet over the duvet something you don’t often
find in the "economy" chains. This is our new Airport Hotel! |
