Currently lists "Vancouver Airport/Richmond" in address , however you
need to call for the shuttle from the airport or it is a 27.00 taxi ride
one-way from airport. Not what I would begin to call close to justify
such an address. As I need a convenient economical place to stay for
airport access, despite the fine staff and facilities I will not be
staying again because the location is not really convenient unless you
have a car.Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Express Suites Riverport

A friend recommended this new hotel and we were very impressed by the
professional and friendly staff. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the
quietness of the area. Though there are some attractions (IMAX theatre,
recreation centre) close by, we heard very little external noise. Breakfast was
super--very fresh and great choices! Executive Management team members would
greet guests and mingle with them in the breakfast room, which really added a
personal "homey" touch to the environment. We highly recommend this hotel and we
will be repeat customers.

I was very impressed with the service I received the evening of October 28th,
2009 when I arrived at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and courteous.
The room was very, very clean and very relaxing.

I typically stay at Hampton Inn, Springhill Suites and similar hotels. I've
stayed at only a few Holiday Inn Express because the ones I've stayed at were
nothing to get excited about at all. This one was far better than any I've seen
before and better than any Hampton Inn I've stayed at also. The lobby and
breakfast area are very nice and clean (waterfall in the lobby), the breakfast
is good (cereals, breads, some fruit, yogurt, eggs, bacon, the famous cinnamon
rolls, etc) and the exercise room was good (2 treadmills vs the usual one that's
in sad shape). The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The WiFi
internet worked fine and was a decent speed. Definitely beyond my expectations.
I wouldn't say the location is great unless you're going to the water park or
ice rink or IMAX near by, but it was close to where I needed to be for work so I
was happy. That would be my only comment for leisure travelers. Other than that,
I'd highly recommend this hotel. This is not as nice as some Marriotts or
Hiltons or higher scale hotels, but it was great for my taste and one of the
best values I've ever stayed at. I'd be thrilled if every hotel I stay at for
business was this nice at this price. I only rated the rooms down a bit because
while they are perfectly fine, I have definitely had more luxurious beds.

Location is good to be near the Riverport Sport and Entertainment Complex. One
reviewer below mentioned weekend has lots of kids around for hockey.

I was impressed with the facility during my 2 night stay. The hotel is clean and
the staff very courteous. It is in the middle of nowhere, but not impossible to
find as long as you have a GPS. Parking was plentiful and the amount of space
provided in each stall was good for vehicles of all sizes. The room size was
excellent -- I had a king bed with a large flat screen TV and a large work desk.
Bathroom was nicely laid out and of good size too. Overall, this hotel is very
reasonably priced for what it has to offer and I would definitely return for a
future stay.

I'm am extremely happy with my stay here at this Holiday Inn Express. If you're
driving into BC and looking at staying in the Richmond Area this place is one of
the best. The staff is very helpful. The hotel is fairly new and VERY clean. If
you have kids traveling with you then here's a bonus. In the parking lot next to
the hotel there is Water Mania (wave pool & water slides), a movie theater, Ice
rink and I believe a bowling alley as well. Getting to the center of Richmond
from the hotel isn't far either. If you have a car, you can simply hop back on
Hwy 99 North and get off at the next exit Westminster Hwy and turn left. That
will take you right into the center of Richmond. Lots of great Chinese
restaurants around. I highly recommend San Sui Wah. I drive up for family trips
to the Richmond area often and I am always for a balance of a good hotel price
and the cleanliness. I am not even going to look anywhere else from now on. This
hotel was way better than I expected and I will continue to stay here every time
I come to the Richmond area. Hope this review helps.

We were really happy with this hotel. It's clean, everything was nice. Beds were
comfortable, free high speed internet access was great, nice tv, great bathroom
with big walk-in shower. Complimentary continental breakfast was more than
expected and quite decent, staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is not
close to any stores but luckily they have a small shop in the hotel with a few
necessities you may have forgotten. We would stay there again most definitely.
Easy to find, free parking, a pool and business center. Overall great value for
the money.

"Are you sure you're going the right way?" my wife asked. "You're going east of
Highway 99, instead of west. We're in the middle of nowhere…"
We weren't. I had read the map. Holiday Inn Express Riverport does indeed lie at
the eastern end of the Steveston Highway at the southern end of Richmond, B.C. –
part of a new commercial development that includes a multi-cinema, ice rink and
numerous restaurants, just behind an area of still functioning wharves.
As befits a place that's only two years old, everything's spanking new. The
finishes are to a high standard – the equivalent of four stars in many other
places, five stars in some countries – the design of furnishings and fittings
very contemporary, and the rooms even boast flat-screen TVs. Amenities include a
small pool and hot tub, a business centre with two Windows PCs and a printer for
guest use, free wireless internet in public areas, a fitness centre and
self-service laundry facilities on every floor.
Best of all is perhaps a return to an old service notion that I thought had gone
for good: a complimentary breakfast. And not a miserable roll-and-a-coffee that
passes for "Continental Breakfast", but a decent self-service buffet complete
with cinnamon buns, and thoughtful touches such as a juice dispensing machine, a
toaster midway to toast your bread as you make your way along the buffet,
individual-sized omelet's and sausage patties, a cereal dispenser, and a good
choice of coffees.
This proved to be a surprisingly pleasant place to stay during a week in
Vancouver. The pleasures of Steveston Village are just down the road at the
western end of Steveston Highway; Vancouver West Side is only ten minutes away
up Highway 99 (traffic allowing, of course); and of course Vancouver
International Airport is also a hop and a skip away. We lucked out booking with
www.allure-hotels.com through
their website and getting a very keen price on their dynamic-pricing system.
Unless prices go up significantly, we'll definitely be back.

I have stayed in a few Holiday Inn Express Hotels but I have to say that this
one is the best one so far yet. It's very, very clean and very nicely decorated.
It's even nice looking from the outside. The hotel has every possible amenity
(pool, breakfast, computer room, small convenience store, airport shuttle, etc).
It's an excellent value for the money and my room even had a view of the
Mountains and Burnaby (ask for 3rd-4th floor facing North). I've stayed at other
hotels in Greater Vancouver that were the same or more expensive and offered
far, far less than this hotel. It was hard to believe this hotel was under
$100/night but it was! I would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Great hotel, with excellent rooms, cleanliness, staff and very quiet. It was
easy to find and when we needed food there was a nice Spaghetti restaurant
within a 5 min walk.
Excellent breakfast with some hot food

Had the pleasure of staying here recently and the rooms were excellent as was
the hotel.
Located approximately 25 mins from Vancouver (traffic dependent) the hotels
location from that perspective is not bad at all.
Unfortunately, the hotels location from another perspective being literally
right next door to the Ricmond Ice Stadium means that on weekends (when we
stayed) is an absolute nightmare when families with their little darlings
descend on the hotel to attend the Ice Stadium.
It is no joke having kids run up and down hallways and slamming doors until late
at night. On our last night we had no less than 9 of them playing hockey in the
corridor and the parents didn't give a damn.
In the morning (7am) the teams do their warm up in the Hotels car park !! .
I would imagine that during school holidays this is likely to happen weekdays as
well.

We needed a place to stay that was not too far from the Delta Deas Island rowing
club, and this hotel provided a convenient location and the necessary amenities
at a reasonable price.
The desk staff were pleasant and helpful and parking was easy. This is not the
place to stay if you want to be in the downtown area of anywhere, but if you are
willing to drive it is a good value.
There is a movie theatre complex located across the way, and a few eating spots.
I found the Big River Brew Pub to be a relaxing and congenial place for a meal.
The hotel provides breakfast only, but it was enough to provide a good start to
the day.

The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating and the rooms are very
clean, updated and comfortable. The beds are comfortable with white duvet covers
and nice comfortable pillows. The staff put together breakfast bags for our
players to accommodate our early hockey game, very much appreciated. An excellent
choice for hockey teams, close to entertainment, next door to the rink and a lot
of nearby entertainment! Thank you for the excellent stay, we'll definitely be
back!
