I found this hotel online. A number of the hotels in the area offer a free week of parking if you stay before/after you travel. There was no mention of this on their website so I phoned the hotel. The lady I spoke with told me that I would get a free week of parking and that anything after that would be charged at $5/day. We needed to leave our car for 12 days. She said that the website indicated the charge would be $8/day but that they really only charged $5. I told her I would book it online and she thanked me. She was very courteous.
We arrived late in the evening and our international flight left at 06:30.
When I went to check in the "gentleman" at the desk told me that there was no parking available and that even if there were I would have to pay $8/day for it and no complimentary week would be given. It took me 5 tries to tell him (because he continuously and very rudely kept interrupting me) that I had spoken with one of their staff and had been assured of the week of complementary parking. He then told me that they had no female staff at their hotel (?). I told him I wanted to cancel my reservation given these revelations and he laughed at me and told me that my credit card had already been charged and there would be no refund. He referred me to a Park & Fly lot nearby and by the time I got back to my room with the $140 parking fees on my credit card it was 11 PM.
We found the room to be less than clean but it was quiet.
All in all - a horrible experience.

Checked into hotel room after booking online. Walked into room and discovered stains on comforter and sheets. Room was also dirty with dirt on floor and cobwebs/dust in corners. My husband went to see about another room while I hit the shower, as we had just gotten off the plane from a long trip and I was desperate to shower and go to bed. My husband returned with keys for another room, while I was trying to shower in a tub that had a broken plug-so I had to stuff a facecloth under it to keep it open so the tub would drain and not flood. My husband told me that he had gotten us another room, but the man at the counter wanted us to make sure that we didn't mess up this room because they didn't want to clean it again!!! We went into the new room, only to discover the same stained sheets and filth. Needless to say, we demanded our money back and went to the Executive Inn down the street. For the same price we got a huge, spotless room overlooking a quiet courtyard, and great service. No comparison. I guess the sign out front said it all : "Free" rides to airport-$5. Seriously, the free was in quotations and everything.

Great location, free wifi, friendly service. I’ve been staying at this hotel now for several years when I have to change planes in Vancouver. The location is great for getting to the airport and there is a free shuttle service.

Good Airport Location Nice and close to the Vancouver Airport, with a free shuttle leaving every half hour almost all day. Pretty basic hotel, a little expensive but basic.

I chose this Comfort Inn because it was said to have an airport courtesy bus. However, the bus was NOT available when I arrived at 2am from New York, so I had to take a taxi, which was an unplanned for expense. Also, it was a long walk to the Aberdeen Sky Train Station, the nearest place to buy an all day transportation ticket. Apart from that, it was very comfortable and I was able to leave my baggage in a security room during the day. The midday checkout suited me fine, as well. The full American breakfast was not included in the overnight tariff but was very good value & was delicious.

We booked that hotel because we were in Vancouver only for a day and a half to see a hockey game, and we wanted to be close to the airport because our return flight was leaving at 6am. It is an OK place; nothing extraordinary here... It smelled damp, but it was clean. The room was small, and we booked through Travelocity and has NO VIEW at all... And I really mean it. We were facing a wall. It was OK for 64$ per day. It was a 5 minute walk to the SkyTrain Canada Line, which was a great way to go to Downtown Vancouver (only 20 minutes), for 3.75$ each way. Better than 30$ to go downtown by taxi!!! If you're only planning on sleeping, this is an OK place... And believe me, I'm picky!

We stayed for 1 night only whilst waiting for our next flight.
The shuttle service was excellent, collecting us from the airport and then returning us early in the morning for our next flight.
The room was comfortable.
We did not eat at the hotel and found a very good restaurant nearby instead.

The rooms were small but clean and the front desk staff was very helpful. Good deal for the price with free airport shuttle from the Vancouver airport. Located 2 blocks from a riverside restaurant with an Italian restaurant across the street. There is a station for the elevated Skyway train a half block from the hotel and a bus stop a half block the other direction. Both of these make it good for getting into the city if you don't have a car. If you want to drive, there's an Enterprise car rental office literally next door.

It was hard to find because the directions said that it was on the corner of Bridgeport Rd. and #3 Rd. (it was actually Sea Way and #3 Rd). The room was nice and comfortable. The free wireless was convenient. The bathroom needed extra work to remove some mildew from around the tub, and there was some on the wall (but not enough that made it gross) Only problem was that you could hear the squeeky, creaky bed next door when certain people got excited.

I read the reviews before booking a night here, and they are accurate. Six minutes from the airport is great, and it is hard to find a good motel/hotel in Richmond for under $100/night. Our room has a musty smell to it for some reason, but it's not bad enough to warrant a change. The AC is different: it is a wall-mounted unit which, while very adequate for cooling, does not provide an exchange of air. Perhaps that is the reason for the musty smell. At any rate, I haven't seen an AC setup like this since I was in Africa a couple of years ago. This is the kind of place you stay in when you have to have an overnight stopover between flights: you don't pay a lot and you don't have unreasonable expectations!

The "important" aspect of this hotel is its LOCATION. Literally five minutes from airport. AND, they have a dependable shuttle, a fine little restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Reading a few reviews and seeing that this was the cheapest hotel in Vancouver, I wasn't expecting much. It was a very good night. Very fast check in and check out, Room was clean and bed was great. Great value for money.

The area around most airports are designed for travelers in a hurry, not for charm. Vancouver Airport is no exception. Expect good value but no nightlife or luxury.

Our price was $119 (Cdn) per night grand total, which worked out to $103 (US) through my credit card. The staff was polite and professional. The room was quiet, clean, and fully stocked. It featured full bath, air-conditioning, clock radio, phone, TV (52 channels), coffee maker, and hair dryer. Free amenities included parking, local phone calls, airport shuttle, and cable internet access. There is a charge for wireless internet. On-site was an outdoor pool, restaurant, and beer/wine store. Nearby were several fast food places. Parking was extremely tight, and we ended up being told to park in the taxi zone. There is no smoking permitted anywhere on the premises.

The place has none of the charm or excitement that would make you want to visit Vancouver, and is a fairly long drive from the center of the city. But if you're just stopping for a night or two, this place is perfectly acceptable.

we literally just stayed for a few hours, as we didn't want to sleep at the airport
We thought the shuttle bus wasn't going anymore so we took a taxi from the airport ( 10,00 cad)

yet the shuttle was still running, so could have saved another cad10,00

Check in was quit and smooth.
The room was good, nothing special yet we had some problems with the air conditioning, we couldn't quite figure it out how to put it on lower, so it was quite cold.

Couple hours later we checkout, took the shuttle back and flew onwards..

Good basic hotel, free wifi is big plus !
Good beds, small bath

My wife and I stayed here one night before heading to Vancouver Island. The room was in fair condition. The room did not appear to be dirty but both of us (as well as a local friend) noticed that our legs began to itch soon after we entered the room--did not actually see anything, but we were suspicious. The morning complimentary breakfast was quite good--larger than what we expected. Front desk staff were reasonably courteous.

I traveled by myself to Australia and stayed over night at the comfort yvr. the front desk was extremely helpful ...they were under staff but the check-in process was just done in a min and printed out my boarding pass for me too. i also asked where to have dinner and they suggested a Chinese restaurant close by...it only cost me $7 for a noodle soup, drink & dessert. the room was neat n' modern...i loved the mattress....front desk told me my room was newly renovated and i guess is a pretty old property since it has only 1 elevator. the chef who serve the continental breakfast was friendly...will stay again

This was my first visit to the Comfort Inn Vancouver Airport. Our budget was tight, so when I found a rate for under $60 on the website, I decided it was a no lose situation! The room was actually much nicer than I expected, though you can definitely tell this is an older building--room was fairly small too. A small fridge (at minimum) and a microwave (bonus) would have made the stay better--though not sure where they'd fit them. We had to leave on the 4:40 am shuttle to the airport, so didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so cannot comment on that. Also didn't need parking, so unsure how that is.
No problems with Check in or Check out....wake up call worked.....shuttle was free and got us there in time.
All in all, good experience for the awesome price. Nothing that really turned me off this time, so would stay again if same great rate. For an airport hotel, this one was satisfactory for sure.
