Enjoyed a night stay here recently. Great location. Right across
from a major shopping complex with movies etc. Also very close
to supermarkets and lots of other dining establishments. Front
desk staff was very welcoming and the rooms were just what we
expected. The beds as always were extremely comfortable and we
slept very soundly. We also had some very enjoyable meals in the
restaurant below.
This hotel is very centrally located and is also very close to
the airport. We are glad we chose to stay here.

Not many hotels close to the Vancouver airport. This one is a 10
minute shuttle ride. Quiet location, met my needs, reasonable
price for an airport hotel. Will probably stay there again.

Everything is very nice - the rooms as spacious and well
appointed, and the service is excellent, but it's awfully
expensive. My corporate rate at this hotel is $142, but I talked
to other people paying $210 for smaller rooms than I had.
Parking is $12 / day, which seems excessive as you can park
downtown for not much more than that. A standard breakfast that
you would pay $7 for at an average restaurant is $18 from room
service (and not much less in the restaurant). $16 per day to
access the internet? Internet is normally free in much lower
priced establishments (including other Marriott properties I
have stayed at). And in country phone calls are as high as $4.50
per minute. I stay here on business since it is a very nice
place and my company pays for everything, but I'd never stay
here if it was my own credit card taking the hit.

The reception staff and all the staff we had contact with were
exceptional. Friendly smiles and very professional. We had a
sofa bed suite and it was very nice. The hotel must still be
making improvements as pictures in the room were not up but we
were told that the little noise we heard in the late afternoon
was from pictures, etc. being installed. The bed was very
comfortable and the heating/a-c worked well. If I had a negative
at all, it would be the energy saving coil lights they used in
everything. No ambiance at all, overall just too
bright....especially over the bathroom sink, maybe dimmers might
be the answer! The internet access was excellent but there is a
charge for it. The restaurant in the hotel is absolutely the
best....good people, good food and presentation....same for the
bar/lounge. We used the parking available in the parking lot
outside, there is a charge. Shopping Mall within walking
distance as well as other restaurants, very convenient. On our
trip back to the airport later the following week, we used
another hotel for an overnight stay with loft accomodations......huge
mistake......the Marriott was by far the superior hotel. I would
certainly not hesitate to use this Marriott again.

Reservation manager was wonderful, returned my call promptly
when I called to confirm that we had a crib waiting for our
toddler. Of course the crib wasn't actually in the room when we
checked in but they sent it up right away. Had to ask a couple
of times for the microwave but they were always very nice. Also,
front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable about
family-friendly attractions nearby. Also, there was drilling in
the late morning a couple of days. We were already up but our
relatives also staying at the hotel were woken up by it. Staff
was apologetic and offered free breakfast vouchers. So, service
was not impeccable but they get a B+ for effort! Also, liked our
"junior suite" - nice to be able to shut the bedroom door to
accommodate our 5 year old and 2 year old's divergent sleeping
schedules. |

We chose to stay near the airport on our last night in Canada.
We were initially checked into the 18th floor- I was staying
there with a couple, so we had requested a 2-bedded suite. At
about 10pm an unrelenting cycling noise began emanating from the
roof. After an hour of this we called reception who said it was
probably the generator and weren't sure if it would stop. They
weren't particularly surprised neither did they ask if we wanted
to move. We requested a move only to be moved to a room with
only 1 bed and a sofa bed which was not comfortable. Overall an
unpleasant stay. |

The room was very comfortable with a separate bedroom and a very
cozy bed. My room faced the mountains so it was quiet and a
beautiful view of snow on some peaks. For business travel, this
was perfect for me. The gym was very small and cramped with no
ventilation. I did work out and wished there was AC. My
co-worker said her room faced the street and was very noisy. |

Clean and; comfortable. Additional expense for parking. The
staff was efficient & friendly. The room was clean and the
bed was comfortable. Convenient to the airport. Parking was $15
CAD per night. Newspaper at the door was an additional 0.75 per
day but could be declined. |

No doubt the beds are wonderful. Much more like sleeping at home
and not in a hotel. Biggest down side to the hotel are the
""extras"". Once you pay the daily rate for the hotel you have
the high Canadian taxes, plus you have to pay for daily parking
and for high speed internet service. |

Comfortable beds, lots of windows with views, clean, spacious,
shuttle to airport.
Our visit was great. The hotel met all of our
expectations......loved our mini suite, central location to
everything including 20 minutes to downtown Vancouver in
evenings by car. |

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Nothing. Our room
was a double bed occupancy, but we had a sitting room with TV .
There were four adults and one 9 year old. We asked for a cot
and they brought it up immediately and there was no extra charge
for it. My husband left his cell phone in the room and they
mailed it to him in Nashville at no charge. How nice! I would
recommend this hotel to anyone. Good choice. Thank you. |

Nice little hotel, quite close to the airport and has some
interesting restaurants around the area. The staff was very
helpful and I enjoyed my stay there. The elevators do not
operate unless you have a room key, which I was quite impressed
with. |

Hotel staff was the best I've dealt with in recent memory
compared to other hotels. Clean and presentable hotel rooms.
Convenient location near malls, restaurants, public
transportation etc. |

I was very excited to get the Marriot when I booked through Allure
Hotels it was $120 Cnd .I was traveling with my 16yr old son, I thought
this would be a treat and it was the Hotel upgraded us to a suite. I am
very very happy when a Hotel treats you well next time we will bring the
whole family. |

Stayed here for 2 nights. For the amazing rate of $110.00 per night, we
felt it was an amazing deal for a decent hotel in a good location. They
offered us a king room for $20 upgrade but we declined.
We got a room on the second floor right by the elevators but we didn't
hear much noise from the hallway. I was surprised that the room also had
a walk out balcony, a microwave and small fridge. They were all nice to
have, though we didn't use any of those. Bathroom could have been a bit
bigger but it was generally fine.
It was nice to have the Globe and Mail free at our door in the morning.
Parking was $12 a day, we ended up renting a car next door at Avis and
just parking in their stall for the two nights - to save us the $12!
The free shuttle to the airport was great and on time. Even though we
left at 5am, the shuttle filled up quickly when it stopped at the next
hotel.
Overall the hotel was clean, service was good - a general positive time.

We stayed here for my cousin's wedding. Hotel room was very spacious and
clean. Staff was nice.
But I didn't particular care for paying for parking every night.
Also, my cousin actually had his wedding here. The reception hall was
setup beautifully. But the serving staff wasn't particular helpful, it
just the whole way to bring food and take food away was not very
efficient. Spilled stuff on guest jacket. I expected more well trained
staff at a Marriott for hosting wedding. |

My husband and I stayed here for one night. I got a "deal" on Allure
Hotels for $80 (plus taxes, $100). We paid for a queen size, non-smoking
room and once we arrived they asked if we wanted an upgrade to a king
size suite for $10. I thought it was a really good deal, but once I got
up to the room, I regret paying the extra $10. Sure, the king size bed
is much better than having a queen size bed, but I guess I wasn't
impressed.
Service was good. The lady saw that I was holding my daughter and asked
if we needed a crib and they brought one up immediately. |

“Hotel is very quiet, close to a shopping mall that has
everything, close to the airport, good access to public
transportation and easy to travel to and from by vehicle.”
Attractive rooms and public areas, Limited television offerings.
“Well located hotel for Vancouver Airport travelers. Helpful
staff, and comfortable rooms.” |

Beautiful room, close to Airport.
Too many extra fees; internet, parking those should be free.
“Love the fact it is close to Richmond core and Airport, rooms
have great windows and furnish very nicely, bed is also very
comfortable. Feels like you have to pay for everything else
other than a good night sleep. I expected a Marriot hotel to be
more generous.” |
