Farmers Markets |
|
Richmond Fruit and Vegetable stands have been around long before it was chic
to open up the new era of Public Markets that have grown in communities
throughout North America in the last couple of decades.
Richmond is one of the lower mainland's largest agricultural land bases and
during the summer many of the farms offer their local grown produce for sale
roadside at their farms.
You will find many of these along 5 road and along Steveston Road. The locals
have made these locations so popular that the evolution of these stands now have
them open year round with imported produce and greenhouse vegetables. There is
also the Richmond Public Market which offers many services is located in the
central business core of Richmond.
