Reviews of the Daiso Store Richmond

This was a surprising find in the Aberdeen center as it has hundreds of really cool Japanese day-to-day merchandise for extremely cheap. Most items come a few Canadian dollars each or two for a few Canadian dollars each. There are tons of awesome creative little server wares and plates and dishes here that match as well as salt and pepper sets and that's just one area.

In other areas there are binders and folders and school supplies to kitchen utensils and bathroom goodies. This is like maido on drugs and then 75% off! If i were still in school I would have picked up tons of cool stationary supplies from here; regardless this place is really neat and definitely a great place to come for odds and ends with a Japanese flair.

I love Daiso, the ones in Japan.
The one in Richmond BC Canada, I like. :)
Yes, it's supposed to be 100 yen or basically two loonies for every item.
That's how it was at first. And at first, there were staff that actually spoke Japanese like the Daiso in Japan. I felt like I was shopping in a giant Daiso in Japan! Wow! Cool! OMG!

What's happened since it's opening a few years back?
Not everything is $2.00 anymore. There are some items that cost more, but never less.
The goods are good quality for what you pay for and in some cases better than what you think. And they are goods that you will find in a Japan Daiso (Bonus!!). I've gone there to double check it myself. :)

.....but don't I find it funny, a Japanese $1 store selling goods for $2.00 or more and everything, well mostly everything is made in China?
And nobody speaks Japanese anymore.

Besides those quirky things that I notice when I go to Daiso, I love the place. I'm always finding cool things to get there. I never get bored of the place and it's FUN FUN FUN!!!

You can be so creative shopping there.
.....but I do kinda miss the Daiso in Koto Ku Tokyo. Was it the faintest hint of mothball on a rainy day in May I missed or the going to Dennys in Japan after a 100 yen shopping spree?

Ahhhh memories.
