Guest Reviews of the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport

I used my free night to stay there for a family trip during the weekend. The
hotel room is not big but very nice. There is a mall next to it with super
market and food court. Very inexpensive Chinese food.

From the outside this hotel looks the part with its blue glass curved facade and
inside, the lobby is suitably grand with the de rigueur soft piano music
filtering from the bar. It is also very well situated just a stone’s throw from
the Canada Line station, while vehicle owners can use the complimentary parking
just in front of the lobby (if they can find a space). Check in was prompt but
we soon found out that our reservation voucher didn’t specify the king bed
option we’d asked for and the receptionist was intransigent (“we’re full”) so we
ended up with two queen beds which would have been fine had we not been
travelling with four large cases. Our room on the third floor overlooked
(virtually at eye level) the gravelly hotel lobby roof, not that it mattered
much as we were staying just one night. Less happily one of the beside light
bulbs didn’t work and neither did the screen on the bed’s firmness control (so I
never did find out how the most popular No.35 setting felt), and the bathroom
came with hairs from previous tenants but no shampoo and whoever had restocked
the coffee machine had forgotten to leave creamer. These are but quibbles, but
we had been expecting better and we rather regretted not staying at the more
modest and much less grand, but cheaper and friendlier Days Inn just down the
road, which is where we’ll be heading next time we’re in the Vancouver airport
area.

Great location, close to mall, shops and transportation plus on-site pool and
fitness centre. Our 5th floor room backed onto the rapid transit but we scarcely
noticed any noise. Room was good sized with two double air-adjustable beds, free
internet access, coffee maker, small fridge, 46" flatscreen, an in-room safe and
good supply of towels and toiletries. There was even a retractable clothesline
to do some quick laundry.
Very good value, will certainly stay here again.

At first sight I wanted to turn around and find another hotel. The room is
cramped the internet was in and out and when I took a shower the water suddenly
went from freezing cold to burning hot every other second. The staff, however is
very nice and helpful and the indoor pool is really nice and big. The hotel is
clean and decorated well.
Directly outside my window was the Vancouver Translink which passed by every few
minutes. Thankfully I can sleep well and it didn't prevent my rest. If you do
have trouble sleeping this might be an issue. Parking was reasonable and it is
close to most things being in Chinatown. I wouldn't stay here again.

We were picked up at the airport in a few minutes. The hotel was nice,
receptionist was great and helpful. Restaurant 25% off if you were staying in
the hotel.
