Guest Reviews of the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel

Stayed at the Fairmont for one night before departing for Hawaii. We
received the gov rate of $174 per night. The room was very large, modern
and comfortable. The King bed was probably the most comfortable I have
ever slept on! The room was large and the bathroom had a nice layout
with two sliding door entrances with shower stall, tub and separate room
that housed the toilet. There was a keypad beside the bed that
controlled the rooms lighting and tv. The airport location was perfect
as we walked the airport for our meals and the WestJet check-in counter
was right beside the hotel lobby! We used the pool and hot tub, they
were both nice except the pool is meant to swim laps against a current,
the fitness centre looked well equipped. The hotel is also across from
the Canada Line station, it was a 15 min ride to downtown Vancouver. I
will definitely stay at this hotel again before flying out as it helped
break-up our travel time and was a nice treat prior to Hawaii!

I have stayed at the Fairmont YVR on several occasions. This hotel is
gorgeous. I love the marble bathrooms, and the extra sized tub is great
for two. The bed and linens are of excellent quality and I always sleep
soundly.
I was looking online at the different room options before calling to
make a reservation. When I shut down the reservation window, a "pop-up"
window appeared, asking why I had not made a reservation. I answered the
pop up via email, only to receive a response within a minute from the
Fairmont. I had called to make my reservation and explained in my email
that I had just been researching the rooms and that I looked forward to
coming for our anniversary, as a connection to our final destination.
When we arrived in the Signature suite, there were a dozen red roses and
champagne chilling with a beautiful card wishing us a happy anniversary.
We made a reservation for the Globe YVR restaurant and after dinner were
provided with complimentary dessert. The Fairmont strives to make every
occasion very special with little extra touches!
I love being able to sleep right at the airport. There is no rushing
around prior to your flight, no traffic, no chaos! Just a leisurely
morning with coffee and a stroll to your gate.

This hotel is absolutely a vacation in itself.
If you have to be at the Vancouver airport at some ridiculous time in
the morning, or, you're on a late night flight take an extra night &
stay here. Everything is top notch, great, including the bar food menu &
drinks. Go early, even the day before your flight. Skytrain gives you a
direct access to downtown Vancouver, if you want. I loved the luxe room,
really quiet, & so comfortable. The bed was awesome! What a great
surprise for an airport hotel room. I have to say it is really the best
I've ever stayed in. We missed our connection, due to a late arrival, so
had to stay overnight at the Fairmont Airport, but, the whole nightmare
thing turned into such a good experience. I hope to get to stay again.
My husband went from miserable to relaxed & happy! My friends who needed
an overnight before their early moring flight up North, took my
suggestion to stay at the Fairmont Airport, which they never would have
done If I hadn't been so over the top in my praises. They phoned me from
the hotel after their dinner, & said it was fabulous. Turned out that
was one of the best experiences of their whole trip.

My mother and I stayed here in a Fairmont Gold 2 Queen bed room which
was an amazing experience.
We checked in on our own floor and were treated so well that we felt a
bit guilty.
After seeing our beautiful rooms and testing the beds for the heavenly
softness that we had come to expect from this chain of hotels, we headed
out to our own private lounge to enjoy some canapes and cups of tea.
The staff were sensational, and we were treated like VIPs the entire
time we were anything but.
The ambience both in the rooms and in the Gold lounge was amazing, so
much so that my mother and I spent most of the afternoon, evening, and
next night in there drinking delicious teas and talking to the friendly
staff (as well as sampling the lovely treats that would change
throughout the day that were totally complimentary!).
The restaurant was lovely, but I regretted not ordering room service and
spending more time in the room as it was such a relaxing place to be. I
didn't get to sample the huge spa bath, but will definitely be back here
to do just that one day.
I can think of no more relaxing way to spend the day before a painfully
long, long-haul flight.
Highly recommending would be a gross understatement! You must stay here!

This hotel is super convenient if you have a long layover or are
arriving or leaving early in the morning as it sits right on the
Vancouver International airport. Loved the view from my room watching
all the aircraft coming and going but not having to hear them in the
completely soundproof rooms. The room was very clean and spacious and
the bed was super comfortable. The service was great also. Would
definitely stay here again. |
