This is a very beautiful small hotel. The hotel is a mere 5 minute taxi ride
from the terminal at the airport with no chance of traffic. It is a brand new
hotel with a very high standard of finishing. The design is very modern and
comfortable.
The hotel is located very close to the Boat House restaurant which is a nice
place for seafood. The hotel also has a restaurant in the facilities "Apron"
which is quite well reviewed and serves delicious meals.
Otherwise the downside of the hotel is that it is not near any trendy districts
and there is no good walking around the property. It is really the best hotel
for someone who has a car to take them into the city, or who is only worried
about accessibility to the airport.

We booked this hotel using Hotwire and were hoping to "luck out" and get the
Fairmont at the airport - as if! The hotel is friendly, new and has everything
right there. The restaurant was empty for lunch which always feels kinda creepy
but my daughter and I had a delicious lunch and the waiter was not falling all
over us which was nice. I really like Westin hotels as they have the best beds
and a variety of pillows from which you can choose. This is a great hotel if you
are arriving late into Vancouver and don't want to venture downtown or if you
have an early flight and wish to be close to the airport. Not the Fairmont but
definitely worth considering.

We booked this hotel due to an early-morning flight (as have others).
I was very impressed by the quality of the hotel - it is nearly on par with
Asian hotels (i.e. Grand Hyatt Tokyo, Westin Suhkumvit Bangkok, etc.) costing
3X.
The room was clean, mostly quiet, well laid out, and comfortable.
Restaurant staff was friendly, honest, and helpful.
Desk and shuttle staff were great, too.

Very modern, comfortable quiet hotel. The bathroom deep tub and walk in shower
were great. Excellent swimming pool and gym facilities on site. A bit isolated
for walking sight seeing. Fabulous view of the mountains and waterway. The
morning sunrise was breath taking.
Loved the Asian market which is within walking distance. Great seafood
restaurant directly across the highway. (Bit dicey to cross the road).
Friendly staff. No snack shop or vending machine on site that I found.
I stayed on the Club floor, which included a light breakfast. Did not get the
voucher for the evening snacks.
Even on club floor the hotel charged for the internet access. The hotel is close
to the airport and shuttle service is available 20 hours a day.

We stayed here in August 2011. The 1st night of our stay we were in the Sheraton
in Richmond but they didn't have a room for us the 2nd night.
We were able to get a good deal in the Westin which is about 5 minutes from the
Sheraton.
This entire area of Richmond , BC has an extremely high Asian population and you
can almost imagine yourself in an Asian country. We were told it is called "New
China Town"
The Westin is modern and extremely minimalist. The room was lovely and we had a
great view of the trains, the river and the planes landing at the international
airport. Even though we were in the middle of all the commerce we never heard a
sound. They charge $15.00 a day to use the car park plus the 12 percent Canadian
tax.
This hotel is located in the most obscure location. be prepared to search for
it. The bed was fantastic and the bathroom well appointed, with walk in shower
and huge tub. There's not much to do right at this motel but the rapid transit
is practically across the street , That train takes you directly into Vancouver
and the trip is approximately 30 minutes away. Also the beautiful Red Rock
casino is about 4 min away and very easy to get to. Also make sure you visit
Stevenson BC, it is a historic fishing cannery area. Also , many movies ( Once
upon a time a new tv series etc ) are filmed here. They were filming the day we
toured the historic cannery. This area makes a wonderful vacation destination.
Hope you found this helpful.
I would recommend this hotel but it is pricey .
