Stayed here for 2 nights while in the Vancouver area for a family wedding. All
wedding guests were booked here. The hotel is lovely, modern, and very well
appointed. The staff handled a couple of "pre wedding" parties beautifully in
their restaurant Chop...wonderful food and the staff handled our group well. The
only problem here is there is no breakfast available right in the hotel. Denny's
is a very short walk through the parking lot, so that was really no big deal.
A great airport hotel!

We had a very pleasant 2day stay. Our only confusion was showing up at the
Sandman hotel vs the Sandman Signature hotel as they are both on the same
street. The staff was nice, the room and hotel were nice. My children loved
having an option of indoor or outdoor pool and loved the water slide.

This is a great hotel in a good location. The rooms were clean and smelled good,
the pool and water-slide was a blast for my kids. I would stay here again.

We had booked a room at the Sandman Airport Richmond, and when we went to check
in were told we were being upgraded to Sandman Signature up the road. The room
we were given at the Signature was miles down many hallways and in the oldest
part of the building. Our room overlooked a pool that was closed and hadn't been
cleaned in a long time. The room had been updated but the location of it was
terrible and we will never book with Sandman again.

A good hotel with half hourly shuttles to the airport. Just NeXT to the hotel
there is Chop restaurant. Good steak there!

On a recent trip to Vancouver and Victoria, I booked this hotel at the beginning
and ending of our trip. This property used to be a Delta Hotel and when it was a
Delta it was a great place to stay. Now that it is a Sandman, I have to question
the management and staff as to their ability to maintain this hotel. The rooms
provided were not clean, there were cigarette ashes in the bathroom (toilet area
behind the door), the carpets not vacuumed (Room P244), no garbage cans, the
nightstands were not clean and it looked like someone had spilled some coke on
it, the fan in the bathroom didn't work, the tap in the bar area was so loose
you could spin it around, and after repeated notes and discussions with the
front desk, it was NEVER cleaned properly. We were credited for 1 nights stay
but the issues were never addressed. In fact, when I discussed the issues with
the front desk, the clerk initially said "We'll credit you 50% of your nights
stay" and then another clerk/mgr? stepped in to say "We'll credit you 100% of
your nights stay and take care of the issues". The 100% credit for 1 night stay
did happen but I kept my shoes on in my room the whole time and couldn't wait to
get out of there. Also, the internet is weak/poor at best and I switched to my
personal mobile internet stick. Attached to this hotel is a Dennys Restaurant,
which was a disaster during our visit. Take a stroll across the parking lot to
IHOP, the service and food is much better. I will NOT be back to this property. |
