Very clean and welcoming hotel. A little out of the way for business
travel, but more than makes up for it with airport shuttle, extremely
efficient and friendly staff and excellent facility. This was our third
stay and due to the nature of our trip booked a one bedroom suite c/w
full kitchen.
Good breakfast value, good but small business center, and long term YVR
parking is available.
Really impressed with the teamwork attitude of the staff, they really
understand that they are there to serve the guests and represent the
Holiday Inn brand.
Only criticism is the park benches they have recently put near the front
door to service the airport shuttle. This has evolved into a smoking pit
and guests have to wade through a cloud of cigarette smoke coming and
going from the otherwise beautiful lobby!

My sister and I, and our husbands stayed here on August 15, 2011 after
my sister and I walked in the Weekend to End Women's Cancers in
Vancouver. We had walked 60 kms in two days, and I had terrible
blisters. As I walked into the lobby, I saw my reflection and saw how
pathetic I looked, shuffling in. When I explained myself to the clerk,
and told her I would be fine after I'd soaked my feet, she told me the
room we'd reserved had no tub. She started looking in the computer, and
changed my room to one with a tub, so I could have a soak. I could have
kissed here. The hotel is very nicely decorated, and very clean. The
breakfast area was congested and busy, but manageable. The food was
quite decent for a continental breakfast. It had sausages, eggs, a
pancake machine and a variety of breakfast items. We were well fed. I
would definitely stay there again. It is close to the airport and ferry
terminal. The pillows were particularly cool. They had pillow cases
identifying them as firm or soft. I slept very well, and was very
comfortable.....though to be truthful, I would have slept on cement that
night I'm sure. ;-)

With this location, I expected to be able to walk from the Hotel along
the river. There is a huge lot of imported automobiles blocking any
access to the river. My wife and I drove quite a ways trying to find
river access, but the only road there was at the landfill.
This location is fairly convenient to Hwy 99 which goes North to
downtown Vancouver or South to the USA border crossing.
Pre-paying this room saved a lot on the rate but my credit card was
charged for all 3 days the minute I made the reservation (which was
month before our travel).

Our family always stays at this hotel if we are going away on a trip.
It's clean, comfortable and affordable. Usually around 125-150/night,
but the price includes free long term parking for a week in the price.
The hotel then also has a shuttle that runs from.. 4am?-12am? and if you
arrive after those hours, you pay the cab, keep the bill and they will
reimburse you. It has a continental breakfast as well with your usual
eggs, bacon, pancakes, breads, fruits and cereal. Nothing that great,
but enough to tide you over. We've stayed at this hotel many many times
and will continue to come back due to the pleasant, clean, convenient
hotel. |
