Reviews of the Four Points Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel

Stayed here on an overnight layover coming back from Asia. Convenient
airport shuttle, though it did take a while to arrive. Check-in was a
breeze and rooms were suitable. Morning coffee and tea in lobby was a
nice touch. No problems with check-out and the shuttle to the airport.
Location was very convenient for some great Chinese food.

We used the hotel's shuttle from YVR for an overnight stay between
flights. Very nice hotel from its courteous Front Desk to the well-done
room with its large bath. Very comfortable plump beds, enjoyed the
sleep! And, there was a window to open for some fresh air. Even though
we had a mediocre view on the ground, the night lights over Vancouver
changed the perspective. We had dinner that night & breakfast in the
hotel's restaurant. The hotel is in a Chinese neighborhood so the menus
& buffet featured both American & Chinese cuisine. A full cocktail bar
is also available. Our meals were presented beautifully with the added
Asian touch. Our waitresses were warm & friendly, taking the time to
talk with us when they could. All & all, we were impressed with the 4
Points Sheraton which was fairly recently renovated per the evening
shuttle driver. The morning driver was a real 'jockey' behind the wheel
but without a doubt got us to the airport in time!

Everything looks fine, clean, fake-smile staff... However, you could
hear your neighbor taking a shower, flash the toilet, even washing
hands! It is all right if you hear it during the day time, but it is
very annoying in the middle of the night!! I do not think I will stay
once more, because I can find lots of spotless clean, nice staff hotel
in Vancouver.

We stayed at this hotel before and after joining the local tours to
Victoria and Banff. We picked this hotel because it is one of the
pick-up points of the tours.
The hotel provides airport shuttle bus form Vancouver International
Airport and we waited only 20 minutes after calling the hotel. It is
only 10 minutes to the hotel. The hotel is situated close to the
Richmond Chinatown district and only 5 - 10 walk to the nearest Skytrain
station.
In front of the hotel, there are lot of Chinese and Asian restaurants to
choose from. At the back of the hotel, you have the Lansdowne mall of
which you can shop for all your necessities.
We arrived at around 10:00 am and asked for an early check-in. The front
desk staffs are friendly and helpful. Within 10 minutes, we were
allocated a double room at the 2nd floor. Although, it is close to the
airport and occasionally you would hear some airplane noise, it didn't
bother us as we used to noisy environment in Hong Kong.
We did check the gym and it is fully equipped even though we have not
tried to use. The room charge was not include the breakfast. They have a
restaurant at the lobby level providing light meal. We did not try as it
was a bit expensive to us. The coffee and tea are free though during the
morning at the lobby. You can walk a few minutes to the McDonald or try
some of the Chinese restaurant across the street.
Although the room rate is a bit more expensive than other hotel around
the airport, I would recommend this hotel due to its good and convenient
location. If you are from Asia or taking local tours to Victoria or
Banff, this hotel is good for you. |
