Great hotel, great rooms, great staff... what more can I say? The
Fairmont Vancouver Airport is especially convenient if you're catching
an early morning or red eye flight.
It's also easy to make your way downtown using the skytrain, since
there's a stop at YVR-Airport. Note: you can buy a DayPass for $9.00 CAD
at the Airport 7-Eleven.
Pros:
- Large room; well-appointed, nice layout, great view
- Bathroom with separate bath, shower, and toilet
- Extremely comfortable beds
- Pool & gym; small but has what you need
- Great bar & lounge area with beautiful fireplace
Cons:
- Can't think of any
I had stayed at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport years ago, and the hotel
is even better than I remembered. If ever you experience a flight
misconnection at YVR, take the opportunity to stay at the Fairmont!

I recently attended a business function near the Vancouver airport,
which involved a late-night arrival and a very early morning departure a
few days later. So I wanted a place to stay that was as close to the
airport as possible. Being physically attached to the terminal, the
Fairmont was an easy decision. Shuttle busses are fine, but how do you
beat being able to walk directly from the plane to your room?
The entire hotel facility is spotlessly clean, the
staff are extremely courteous and friendly, and airport location can't
be beat.

This hotel has to be the most convenient place to stay! No shuttle to
have to wait for to get to the hotel? Flying international it is just
steps away from the airport to where you check in. The staff are
courteous and helpful. The rooms are large and the beds are great! Ask
about triple AAA rates.

We were lucky to get a special offer for this hotel. It's located in the
airport an we had a nice view to the airfield from our room. Internet is
included. The Room and the bathroom were very big and very comfortable.
Hotel Staff was very friendly. Itīs a great and very convenient hotel
after or before a flight. You donīt need a shuttle or anything else. And
itīs really quiet!

We stayed here for about 24 hours on our way home from the Great Bear
Rainforest in North British Columbia. It was a great way to end our
holiday - total relaxation. We upgraded to Fairmont Gold so had a room
on the 14th floor and could watch the planes either from our room or
from the comfortable Gold Lounge. The upgrade was great value - the
breakfast in the Gold Lounge really tasty with plenty of choice and the
canapes in the evening were good as well.
I also had a massage whilst there which was really relaxing and we used
the pool and spa for a while.
We had lunch in the Jetside Lounge which was also great but if you want
something light have a starter because the main courses are pretty big.
The fish and chips were really good though.
All the staff we met were helpful and friendly - a wonderful place to
stay. |
