I travel extensively and this ranks in the top 5 worst hotels I've ever encountered. The room, the "restaurant"(?), the entire facility in general. It was so unkempt, we decided not to chance sleeping in the beds. It was booked by a travel agent and if it hadn't been 1:00am when we arrived, we would have found something else or just slept at the airport. Not sure who is giving the place rave reviews but pretty sure its not an actual paying guest.

I had selected this hotel based on proximity to YVR, cost, and TripAdvisor commentary. Overall, it met our needs. Unfortunately, having just stayed in far superior accommodation elsewhere in BC and Washington during this vacation, the EIE was a bit sad and drab. It was as if we had dropped several levels down in our choices. Having said this, I grew to appreciate the EIE during our one night stay. Really, it provides everything one needs, including free internet and free breakfast (which I was unable to sample). Nothing particularly interesting or exciting or memorable about the stay, but for the price, I do consider that it provided decent value with NO significant weaknesses. The neighborhood is lackluster - near a Costco, gas station, etc. EXTREMELY handy to the airport. Staff was competent and helpful.

Hotel's front office staff are so friendly, efficient... Hotel is located near the LRT station which is more convenient to go to different parts of Vancouver, Richmond.. etc...

The hotel staff were not overly helpful or friendly; the room smelled like old cigarettes; the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. For over $100 dollars a night the only positive things I can say are that the room was large and the shower pressure was decent.

Bad quality room, unfriendly and non helpful staff, free shuttle – to and from the airport, free breakfast but not buffet- restaurant staff very nice though, free parking, overall really rubbish for $100 a night! Only choose it due to proximity to airport and if u don't find anything else.
