Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport
4 October 2011
We have stayed in a few Holiday Inns now and they are all of a high
standard. This particular hotel is located in a busy suburb of Vancouver
close to the airport. This is the sort of location that I would not stay
in if I was on a holiday, but it is certainly handy to the airport for
departures and arrivals. This is also helped by the fact that there is a
free shuttle to and from the airport. There is a little road noise and I
did hear some aircraft, but the level of noise was low and certainly did
not annoy us. The rooms are all on the one side of the building, with
the free-way on the opposite side of the building meaning you don't get
free-way noise at all. There is plenty of car parking on two levels and
I was driving a Chevy Suburban which is quite high and did not have any
problems with the height of the car park which I have experienced in
other hotels. Car parking is controlled by swiping your room key as is
the lifts, which I think is a good thing to have as it stops people from
roaming the hotel if they aren't staying here. The buffet breakfast was
excellent with a good selection of items both hot and cold. Staff were
friendly and helpful.

we stayed here for one night (4 friends) en route to Whitehorse. the
shuttle service from the airport was convenient, lovely room,
comfortable beds, large bathroom, nice staff all for a good price.
Breakfast was beyond what we expected and the dining area was nice

This is an excellent hotel, and the free airport shuttle service was on
time, fast, and reliable. It had very early morning departures scheduled
to get you to the airport on time. The complimentary breakfast included
a lot of food options. There is not much in the surrounding neighborhood
within walking distance, but the rooms are nice, and very clean.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights before picking up a car and driving
north. We wanted a hotel close to the airport that provided breakfast.
The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, bed linen
lovely and bathroom well stocked. Staff were helpful and shuttle ran on
time to and from airport. The breakfast was sensational, with full
buffet, so much food, and fresh fruit to finish. Would recommend this
hotel to anyone as a stopover hotel and would stay there again anytime!
More like a 5 star than a budget airport hotel.

My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Vancouver Airport in
June 2011. I chose this hotel because we were arriving late at night
from the airport, staying a few days before going on a cruise to Alaska
from Vancouver's harbor.
The room itself was clean and comfortable, with 2 queen beds, desk, flat
screen TV, wireless internet, and of course a bathroom. The view from
the room was good, as the area is surrounded by beautiful mountains.
Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel if you do not mind no
swimming pool, key card operated elevator, and can park a car in a small
amount of space. There is another Holiday Inn Express not too far from
this one, that appears to be bigger and does have a pool. However, that
hotel cost more. Otherwise we would have booked it. Since we were only
staying a few nights, it was not worth the extra cost. So we stayed at
this one.
By the way, if you are a Costco member, there is one right across the
street!

A solid HIX hotel near the Vancouver International Airport. Great for
mulitple night stays as well. Hotel is clean with good sized rooms and
the always excellent Express Start breakfast offered by most HIX hotels.
Good value when you consider underground parking and/or airport shuttle
is included in the price. Close to major highways and decent restaurants
near the hotel. The only drawback is a lack of pool/fitness room. I have
stayed here on multiple occasions and would not hesitate to stay again.
Excellent airport hotel!

Stayed here with my wife on the return from a holiday in Alaska on the
evening of Wednesday 24th August. We did originally book the Holiday Inn
Express near to this location but after a number of issues on going to
Alaska at the Express outlet we changed to the Holiday Inn International
and I am very pleased we did. The hotel was excellent in terms of
shuttle from the airport then check in very swift. We arrived around 7pm
and after a quick refresh we visited the Fog and Suds restaurant coupled
with the hotel. The Food was excellent and not over priced. Special
offers on beers and wings as well. Again rooms were first class and free
wi fi etc.
Check out and shuttle bus 2pm on the Thursday was faultless. Can
thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone but avoid the Holiday Inn
Express in the same local.

I chose this hotel because of the location and price. I was doing
business in the tech park on No. 6 road just south of Cambie and this
location was a 5 minute drive there each morning.
The room was above average for a business hotel, although nothing too
fancy. The free wifi was decent, but there were sometimes large network
delays that caused issues when I tried to use Google Voice or Skype. The
first morning I went to take a shower and the shower head was partially
broken. As I passed the front desk at 8:30am I mentioned it to them and
when I returned at 6pm the shower head was fixed.
There is a restaurant/bar (I think) that's adjacent to the hotel called
Fogg and Suds. It looks a little shady from the outside and it's
clientele seem a bit odd, but I never encountered any issues.
I would definitely stay hear again given the good rate and the
convenience of being near the technology park.
