| The marine walk, surrounding the coal harbor sides of the hotel, is spectacular,
and takes you past acres of amazing power and sail craft, as well as a chic new
over-the-water bar and grill called the
Lift . The
Cardero's Restaurant is
encountered nearby. The restaurant rows in West End Vancouver, commencing on the
start of the infamous
Robson and Denman streets, are less than a 10 minute walk. |
For dinner, we went to
Seasons in the Park,
which is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel, and it was just over
the top fabulous. What a view. And the food and service were both
spot-on. Everyone visiting Vancouver should go there at least once. Even
if for a drink.
For a terrific meal, go into an Urban Fare market and visit their
buffet. Fresh, beautifully prepared food, and a perfectly pleasant
dining area to eat in. This is also a good idea if you have picky
eaters, since there is everything from sushi to salads to chicken and
fries.
I can't say enough about the great accommodations and wonderful service at the
Westin Bayshore. We will definitely be coming back to
Vancouver and staying at
the Westin on our next visit.
We also
enjoyed that there are a couple of good restaurants within walking distance of
the hotel. Cardero's Restaurant and
the Lift Bar Grill View Vancouver.
Take a bike ride ride around Stanley
Park. I rented from Spokes on West Georgia Street. The rental was only
around $9. (Getting
around Stanley Park in Vancouver BC ).You will not be disappointed! It is
THE most spectacular bike ride I've ever been on.
The hotel is very close to stay and see the
Celebration of Light
Fireworks in Vancouver
Incredible view of
the marina. We watched float planes come in and yachts dock. Stanley Park is at
your door step. Great for runners, walkers or cyclists!
Robson Street is a few
blocks away!! Highly recommended!
