The hotel was good for the price and it was clean. The desk staff were friendly,
and the breakfast was adequate. Close to shopping and restaurants. Would book
here again!

We stayed there for 8 nights. The lady would come to tidy-up the room everyday.
She would just do half the job. She would take out the trash, and change towels
that's it. She didn't even vacuum the room everyday. Worse was, one day, she
left our room's door wide open!! she must have done that around 1pm or so, and
till get got back at 7pm, the room was open to anybody. we had our laptops, iPad,
iPod, SLR-camera, cash, visa documents, and passports in the room. When I called
the front-desk lady to show the open door, she said "yeah, that cleaning lady
might not have pulled the door very hard." Luckily for us, nothing got stolen;
but that gave the hotel an excuse saying why make a fuss if nothing got stolen!
We were so angry with the whole thing. Otherwise, breakfast is OK. Rooms are
quiet. North-vanc is a good place to stay. Bathroom, kitchen, u-wave, fridge, TV
worked.

In the past few months our team has stayed at the North Vancouver Hotel twice
for tournaments. We found this nicely renovated hotel to be clean and
comfortable. The included breakfast made feeding the team so much easier (and
cheaper!). The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. The location to
Lion's Gates Bridge, the Park Royal Mall and the high schools was perfect.
Ultimately, this little gem of a hotel is exceptional value and we are very glad
we chose it. Special thanks to Joanne, the housekeeper, for doing such a great
job of taking care of our rooms.

We were happily surprised that $70 a night got us a clean, well-kept hotel in
North Vancouver. This was the AAA rate, if you didn't have AAA, the rate would
have been $80 which is still a steal in North Vancouver. Of course, then you
have to add on your typical HST etc.
The charge for extra persons in your room (after 2 persons) is $10. They allow
pets at a rate of $20 each pet, each night.
This was a family trip. We had 3 rooms in total. Each room was pretty much
identical. There were windows in the rear of the room and in the bathroom as
well as the front. We liked that. My husband and I had a king sized bed, which
allowed a great amount of room for our daughter's playpen to be set up. Each
room was in fairly good order. Ask for extra coffee if you are staying more than
1 night. They forgot to fill the coffee in the other 2 rooms.
They did offer an Executive Continental Breakfast. We stayed a total of 3 nights
and ate a little bit there every morning. It was decent as far as continental
breakfasts go, but was hard to stomach after the first day. There was a very
neat little pancake maker that shot out fresh pancakes at the touch of a button.
There were scrambled 'eggs', sausages, chewy 'bacon', cereal, mini-bagels,
muffins, apples, some fruit toppings for the pancakes.
The location is excellent. It is close to the Capilano Suspension Bridge,
Stanely Park, The Quay, and the Lions Bridge. The Lions Gate/ First Narrows
bridge takes you directly into Stanely Park, where you can enjoy the Sea Walk.
If you wish to venture further you may easily enter Vancouver City Centre using
this as well.
Room Tip: This hotel is set up with hallways on the outside like a motor inn. We
did not see an elevator, so if you need easy access, you may wish to ask for a
room on the first floor.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting my friends in Vancouver last month. Being
from New York, I was not expecting high from this hotel, but WOW,....they
surpassed my expectation! The room was very clean and looks modern, the location
is great with easy access to Lionsgate bridge and highway #1, the staff very
friendly and helpful, the most importantly their breakfast...my god...a pancake
machine!? I've seen waffle machine in other hotel but not a pancake machine.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I know I'll book this hotel again
when I visit Vancouver next time!

The hotel was nice and the breakfast was good. Don't overlook the $50 per stay
fee when you're looking at prices though. |
