Very loud rooms. Executive room is a basic motel room with nicer furniture.
Cheap microwave and fridge. Coffee maker in the bathroom. not nice. Save your
money for a real hotel.

They seem to use Groupons and discounts to fill up their Unrentable and noisy
rooms. Our room sounded like it had a helicopter was idling on the roof the
whole time we were there. The room actually vibrated at times (I think it was
actually a bad Air Conditioner on the roof). Staff was rude and don't seem to
care. I would not recommend going there. We had an " Executive" Room and it
reminded me of your typical Best Western or Motel 6 Standard room With nicer
Furniture. We also opted for their Breakfast Package which clearly stated it was
till 11 AM. We went there at 10.45 AM one day, only to be informed Sorry no
Breakfast because they close the Kitchen @ 10.45 AM. The restaurant said this
was normal and didn't care. We then went to the front desk with this problem and
they told us that was normal and we could purchase Breakfast downstairs in the
Quay if we liked. I informed them that it clearly states on the breakfast
vouchers that it was till 11 AM and I had already paid for it ,they replied " Oh
well we can't do anything for you" . Very bad service. Other than location this
hotel has nothing going for it. We were in room 430

I picked this hotel because of a really good deal online. I was reminded that
you get what you pay for. The location was great. The staff was amazing. Upon
our arrival to the hotel, which is on the top floor of the Market, impressed
with the lobby. my wife and I were even impressed with the hallway. We read a
review that we should not pick a room next to the exit door. The door was loud
as it slammed behind me and I thanked God that I didn't have the room next to
the exit.
The room on the other hand was quite plain for a nicer hotel. My advice to the
hotel.. Put something on the walls. I've stayed in cheaper hotels that looked
nicer on the inside. I knew that we would not get a view because of the price we
paid. With that said, I thought it was a bit deceiving that the walls were
nearly bare. The only thing on the wall was a very small painting when you first
walk in and this hideous bamboo ring piece behind the head board.
I guess it is a large room but, the bare walls made it look empty. The good
thing is Vancouver is a fun City with many things to do, so we only spent the
evenings in our room.

I asked for a change of rooms to see some water but that made the cost of the
room quite high. The market was a bonus but don't stay here if you need to be
downtown as you will become too familiar with the seabus! The small gym is
rather forlorn and needs upgrading. Loved having all that fresh fruit downstairs
- smoothies, cut fruit and fresh fruit and vegetables. |
