The picturesque village of Deep Cove has a very laid back
atmosphere, the people are friendly and there is plenty to do. There are
shops to browse through, several restaurants, places to buy ice cream
cones and a theater and arts center to explore. There is a small
children's playground just steps from the beach at Panorama Park, and in
the summer months it's a great spot for a picnic.
The view is awesome and if you want a closer look at the water you can
hire a kayak.
Home
of mountains, forests and ocean - close to the
city of Vancouver, and a million miles away, Deep Cove invites you to
enjoy all this naturally beautiful area has to offer.
Get Back to Nature
Oceanside parks, quiet harbour walks, challenging hiking trails, view
points and park festivals and music. Bring your family and friends. Your
dog is welcome in most areas as long as they keep you on a leash.
Deep Cove is a one-of-a-kind, quirky place. Nestled by the waters of
Indian Arm, at the east end of the North Shore, it is one of the two
villages of the North Shore, the other being Horseshoe Bay in West
Vancouver.
Deep Cove epitomizes what the North Shore is known for: tranquility,
scenic beauty, and a warm cosy atmosphere that makes you want to sit
down and stay. Boating, hiking and nature typify this area.
Gallant Avenue and Panorama Drive are at the heart of the Cove. Gallant
avenue offers fine restaurants, friendly caf้s and delightful shops,
along with a theatre well known for its productions.
While Deep Cove itself is not a new area, a lot of the homes lining its
streets are. Other, expanded and restored homes, dating back 30 or 40
years, add character and charm. A select few homes on the waterfront,
offer their own private moorage.

Shopping:
For simple shopping pleasure, Deep Cove's Gallant Avenue is ideal. On
Deep Cove Road is the Raven Pub, enjoyed by the locals particularly for
its pizzas.
For more traditional shopping, the area is served by two shopping
centres. Dollar Shopping Centre provides a Food Store and a liquor store
along with many small shops and a bank. Located by the side of Dollarton
Highway, it is a short drive from Deep Cove.
Heading west up the Mount Seymour Parkway from Dollarton Highway, you
quickly come to the Parkgate Village Shopping Centre which offers a
large food store (Safeway), and a number of small stores and services
including the Lazy Bay Cafe, well known to be a local gathering place.
Activities in Deep Cove can include kayaking lessons, eating doughnuts
at Honey's and attending summer concerts at the waterfront Panorama
Park.
