and Snowboarding (Half Pipe, Parellel Giant Slalom, and Snowboard Cross) Venue

With spectacular views of the city of Vancouver and its harbour, the freestyle
and snowboard competition sites are located in Cypress Provincial Park within
the District of West Vancouver. It is served by an excellent highway and has
ample parking.
Getting To Cypress Mountain
By Car - From Downtown Vancouver take the Lions Gate Bridge and follow the signs
to Highway One (via Taylor Way). Continue west, take Exit #8 onto Cypress Bowl
Rd. Follow this 3 lane, paved highway for 13 kms (8 miles) for Cross Country,
SnowShoeing and Snowtubing or 15 kms (9.3 miles) for Downhill.
By Public Transit - Take Skytrain or Bus to
Waterfront Skytrain Station,
connecting via Seabus to the
Cypress Mountain Shuttle Bus at
Lonsdale Quay in
North Vancouver.
Freestyle and snowboard events run 16 of the 17 days and include the new ski
cross event. |
