Guest review of the Lonsdale Quay Hotel North
Vancouver

We have stayed here numerous times , it has become our first choice place to
stay while visiting the city.
Do not be put off by the Seabus ride to the downtown core. It is incredibly
reliable, short, & economical.
A super bonus to the hotel is the sights and the market at the lower level.
Shopping for gifts, fresh fruit & veg. , or wine and eating out, it's all there.
The luxury yachts that pull in beside the hotel are something to be marvelled
at, and the neighbourhood surrounding the hotel makes for nice walks around
shops & services. A little like San Francisco in that the lay of the land is
steep hilly streets... Apparently used for a movie car-race scene a cpl yrs
ago...
A good place to stay , our only criticism is the staff. They are not friendly,
we have experienced the moodiness of desk staff and cleaners alike. We are not
demanding in anyway, check in, stay a night or two, check out, no special
requests etc ... It is not personal it just seems the way they always are ....
Makes us wonder what their bosses are like?
Thankfully everything else about the place & area still make it a worthwhile
place to stay. So far 5 stays there for us.

We stayed here for two nights in September/2011 and loved it. Great location!
Beautiful room and view and very reasonably priced for what we enjoyed at the
Hotel. The Lonsdale market is just downstairs from you with great restaurants
and shopping and the Seabus is right there to connect you to downtown Vancouver!
Very friendly and helpful staff as well.

My daughter and I spent 3 nights at this hotel before meeting up with the rest
of our family for a Disney Cruise. This hotel, although is North Vancouver, was
super convenient to all the Vancouver attractions. The seabus is right outside
and runs frequently. The views from the hotel and market were amazing. It is a
very comfortable hotel and quiet. The staff are very helpful. We have stayed
here twice before and it is quickly becoming our hotel of choice when visiting
Vancouver. The best thing you can do is leave your car at the hotel, buy a
Transit Day pass and explore all that Vancouver has to offer.

I've stayed here 3 or 4 times and this time did not disappoint. The rooms are
spacious and quiet, the beds comfortable and the front desk staff friendly. The
proximity to the water is a plus, as is the quay market below and the many good
local restaurants.

I had originally booked a room at a downtown Vancouver hotel, but a change in
plans brought my husband and I to the Lonsdale Quay Hotel instead. We booked our
room at the last minute and had no problem finding the hotel. I am planning a trip back to Vancouver in the next few weeks
and am debating on whether I should give them another try or simply stay at
another hotel. |
