We stayed here for 5 nights. The view is the best part. Sitting out over the
river, there is always action on the river and the mountains in the distance.
Ask to be as far out over the water as possible because trains run on the land
side and can be very noisy day & night. Also the bar outside the north side can
be noisy until very late in the evening. The room included a nice large desk for
working. The staff is accommodating. The Skytrain station is a short walk but if
you want to be "in Vancouver" it is a way out a bit.

We have stayed here a few times, its a 5 min walk from the New West SkyTrain
Station for easy access to Downtown Vancouver, yet its nestled out of the city.
We have had one problem with a party here keeping us up late, not much could be
done while it was happening, but the next morning I emailed the manager, and she
took care of us on it. The service is great, the value is great for what you
get, and the location isn't bad either.

We had a great stay here. A really good price (senior's rate) for a stay on a
weekend night. And the view from every room is of the river. And our room (I
think all rooms) had a balcony with plenty of room for two. Nice amenities in
the room including thick, terry robes and full coffee service. Even a large
welcoming chocolate bar waiting for us when we arrived back in the evening.
Newspapers and the week's TV guide had been slipped under our door when we woke
up.
The lobby was really impressive with comfortable chairs and loveseats. There
were computers and work desks in one corner with internet access (as well as
free wi-fi in the room). Did not have time to check out the fitness center but
there is one available.
I understand the entire hotel went through renovations a couple years ago. Still
looks new.
There is the Quay market within (about) 150 feet with clothing, craft, food
shops as well as restaurants and a pub. It has just been renovated and only a
quarter of the stores were open but signs were posted for most of the rest of
the businesses saying they would be opening within a short time. Also lots of
activity on the river: a paddlewheeler that gives river tours, a marine museum
and lots of working tugs.

Right on the Fraser, this hotel provides a pleasant place to stay. The location
is peaceful at night, and the location is close to the sky train, making for
easy access to the rest of Vancouver a snap. The rooms are pleasant, the beds
delightfully cozy and the place is well kept. |
